We all know that Jack Jones was a 4th round pick. #121. Great pick.

Did you know that Tariq Woolen was a 5th round pick? #153 Oh and he's 6'4 with a 4.26 40 which is freakishly athletic.

Incidentally he's slated to face my WR binkie from the 2022 draft, Chris Olave who leads all rookie WRs with 618 receiving yards, and good for 9th overall in the NFL. Unironically he's also the only uninjured player I named in the who's your guy thread leading up to the draft.
I thought for sure Woolen was going to end up a Patriot. Seemed to have the size of Williams but with that freakish athleticism you’re talking about. Not surprised the Hawks snagged him up, but definitely surprised we didn’t at some point.

No I never got to play in a regular season game.. I DID have 2 camps in Denver in 1970 and 71, first as an OLB the second as a SS. Came pretty close the 2nd year, but no cigar. In 69 I played for money in the old Atlantic Coast FL. Made more money playing football ($250/game) vs $175/wk teaching school. I was really rolling in it in the fall of 69.

Now I'm an old man whose memories of his playing days are usually better than I actually was.
Go Quincy Giants!

People talking about Folk and Schooler for ST but Marcus Jones quietly having a good return year

We are hella deep at the Jones position, as kids these days are saying, "these days" being 2010.

If we can ever get out offense going then having a returner like that to set things up will be huge. Even now he's as big a part of our offense as anyone just setting up Folk.

Good morning everyone getting you ready for a Monday which includes practice:

Wow what a wicked scheduling I don't think another Team have a more brutal stretch.

The NFL is greedy knowing the violent nature of the sport there should be no Thursday game if a Team plays on the Sunday that decision should be revisited.

Agreed. I'm fine with TNF, if both teams are coming off of their bye week. Still get extra time off, you just need to schedule bye weeks to coincide with teams that are playing TNF. But this would mean they could only have Thursday games for about half the season, so they'll never do it. Like you said, greed.

We know BB is the best in the business and we have experience a measure of this in the past but this current scheduling is going test his Coaching prowess. In this weeks practice they are literally practicing for three Teams that is not fair for a Team in transition I can't believe the Owners signed off on this good luck Mr. Kraft.

Indeed. Not to mention that after the Jets it's four straight primetime games. Good or bad, we're going to learn a LOT about this team in the next month.

The Jets are playing for first place, but can also fall into last place and out of the playoff picture with a loss.

Which scenario is more Jets-like? Hmmm.....

I hope they flex one of those games that Raider Team shouldn't be in prime time.

I thought Marcus started out a little slowly in the return game. Understandably just getting his feet wet and focusing on making good decisions and securing the ball. Since those first few weeks, he's been steadily building up steam and making more plays. He was extremely dangerous in college and I think his game will only continue to grow and be a big weapon for us.

Based on merit, you're 100% right. But they'll never give up the Belichick-McDaniels storyline.
