Gilmore has been amazing as of late...i mean amazing
He's improved dramatically. And by the way His interviews are different too. When he first joined he was sounding like a typical NFL player, talking about his stats and how good he is. Now he talks about the team.

Yeah, Gilmore is now down with the patriot way and is playing great football.

These guys on various shows plus my acquaintances that are known patriot haters are all crying about the pi calls. I have in my possession several copies of nfl rules. Been handing them out. Then they cry about more penalties on jags than pats. So, I guess the theory is that it’s not fair unless refs throw flags on us weather we commit penalties or not just to equal out the fact that the jags are an undisciplined team that hits helmet to helmet and grabs cooks around the neck

He hasn’t really improved so much as the secondary is making fewer mistakes, all of which were inaccurately being blamed on him.

A little disappointed in Butler's play and worry about him being somewhat of a liability in the Super Bowl. Although, on that stage, I hope he rises to the occasion. Surprised we aren't seeing more of Bademosi, he was on a tear for a while earlier in the season.

That was an excellent response to the question asking for more data! Good stats here.

Here's my hot take; call me insensitive, but I think players should be able to keep playing after a concussion if they are able to. They have the option to go back in with any other injury (that could have serious long term consequences), so I don't see why concussions have to be the exception. It affects the game way too much to take players out like that, and it will always be suspicious when there's an 'independent' consultant who makes the call.

There was recent study (last week, widely publicized) that showed hits to the head cause CTE, not concussions. We're still learning about all this. Players know what they are signing up for. Why change the game so drastically by taking a player out? And maybe there's data out there, but are you at more risk immediately following a concussion for extra trauma? If not, then why remove the player immediately, seems like the damage has been done.
Probably complicated by the fact that concussions could impair judgement. I believe people should be able to make decisions about their own risks, whether I agree with those decisions or not.

However someone with all their faculties deciding the risk is worth it is different than someone impaired.

Gilmore played well yesterday, and I don't want to rain on the Gilmore parade but, if we're going to sing his AFCCG song, let's at least acknowledge that the 4th down play might not have been needed if he had done a better job on the pass to Westbrook just a few plays earlier.

FWIW: Nick Foles has a nickname on some forums .... Big **** Nick.

Different breed of fan they are.

Butler allowed 2/4 for 43 yards with one pass breakup. Gilmore allowed 3/5 for 48 yards with one pass breakup.

Butler had a bad game against the Titans but he wasn’t bad at all against the Jags.

Not only was CBS’ broadcast of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Jaguars the most-watched game of the season, it was the highest-rated program on television since New England’s epic comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in last year’s Super Bowl. Around the country, nearly 48 million people tuned in to New England’s 24-20 comeback win over Jacksonville on Sunday. The game earned an overnight share of 27.3/50 nationally, with ratings peaking from 5:30-6:00pm as the Patriots erased a 10-point fourth quarter deficit to clinch their second straight Super Bowl berth.

Locally on WBZ-TV in Boston, the game had a 50.1 rating and a 75 percent audience share, meaning 75 percent of households watching TV were tuned to the Patriots on WBZ-TV. It was most-watched game of the season with almost 2.3 million viewers, and the most-watched Sunday afternoon AFC Championship in more than 20 years.

Yeah, in the same sense that contracts signed while you are mentally impaired are invalid. Some who see orange blue orangutans when someone says "how many fingers am I holding up? Doesnt have the ability to adequately weigh the risks associated with going back in.

There's also the problem that (like with steroids) it forces players to either take health risks they'd rather not take or be out of a job because they won't be competitive with the people willing to smash their own brains.

I am very happy we signed him..that play alone was worth $20 mill
