Post Game Thread - Pats vs Jags

Pats opponents 12-25, 48% on 3rd down so far this year. Against 1 below avg QB and 1 guy playing his first game after coming off an injury. Not even close to good enough.

Granted the offense struggled today but where do you start with this defence? No pass rush and the inability to cover those Crossing routes.

Every year we seem to put up at least one stinker so hopefully this is the only one for the year

I can’t believe anyone would say a word about Brady. They guy has Gronk (double covered) and that’s about it. Hogan can’t make separation. No one to stretch the field.

Brady is amazing for what he’s got.

Oh and to top it off, we had a defense who couldn’t stop a higschool team.

1. its week 2 of extended preseason so talking about exposed flaws and a ton to correct is a bit silly.

2. two concussions are not major injuries

relax. the team will be coming together for a few weeks more (every chance to still go 4-1 while doing so) and on KC-CHI-GB stretch we will have an idea where this team is.

this game derailed from the get go (blatant non-call on Gronk, missed FG by Gost) followed by some unbelievable plays by Jags . and never returned back on track.

of course it was an underwhelming outing by most guys but also plagued by never ending streak of uncharacteristic hiccups in situations where game was still on.

id rather go with Romo . not worried
but today's thread is for the worried so ill leave the floor to them..

Brady sucked. The OL sucked. Hogan and Gronk were MIA.

The defense was bad but at least produced 2 turnovers. If you can't win against Jacksonville when you are up two turnovers then you don't deserve to win.

The team came out flat in a 90+ degree stadium and lost to a team that made this game their Super Bowl. Hard to watch? Yeah. But it's a loss in September to a good team. Not exactly time to panic yet.

It’s not time to panic but this defense is terrible. The only way to show improvement is to stop teams from reaching the red zone. Stopping teams period! Not this bend but don’t break style. That doesn’t show you a team is improving defensively. I will be seeing how this defense plays next Sunday night against the lions.

Van Noy was the guy who blew the tackle on the game ending 60 yard TD. He's a nice backup but he's not a good starter

Not saying he had a good game but he made a great play and it SHOULD have cut the lead to 4 or 8 at the very worst.

I blame this loss on @KontradictioN because he was there. Otherwise, on days when the Pats lose but the Jete also lose, I only feel about 2/3 bad vs. totally bad. On to Detroit!

At times it looked like they had 4 Edelmans out there. Shifty footed make you miss type of receivers. Grant and Cole looked great in space. Or maybe Pats were just terrible in open tackling?

Team sucked. 10-14 on 3rd downs. Jags almost had 500 yards of total offense. Jags are clearly super bowl contenders and they might have to go through them.

That’s what I’m saying.....this Jags team is a VERY GOOD and well coached team......don’t kid yourselves if we have to go thru Jax to reach finals of American conference.....we are in trouble......Jags are going to be tough!!

It's unacceptable to have a defense like this in the final years of the best quarterback of all time, this isn't even a bend but don't break defense this is one of the worst 10 defenses in the NFL.

Little bit of both.....sh!tty secondary and defense....talented WR and RB personnel....hats off to Jax....they look like real deal and embarrassed the Pats

Well is he an all time great or not? You can't have it bot ways. Sorry but misses like on Dorsett being two steps ahead are what need to.be executed in this situation.

I feel like people are more concerned and defensive about Bradys legacy than about being objective.

You mean the same defense that let Jags go up 14-0 immediately? The same defense that then let Westbrook in the end zone for a touchdown after the Jags challenged and erased James White's first down? That trash ass defense?
