We will definitely need a better effort going forward. Our defense wasn't very good and our offense was inconsistent.

Let' discuss.

Adrian Clayborn is going to get Torn apart in the meeting tomorrow. THIRD 3rd down conversion he's allowed because he rushes too far upfield.

The Sony Michel pick if healthy is going to be huge. Michel already looking like the #1 RB.

Bottom line.. for today, Jaguars were a much superior team to the Patriots. And Blake Bortles was very strong. Whether our pathetic defense today, or the heat, or whatever, helped make him look great is not relevant he was very tough.

This was bad. All three phases were outplayed, and maybe even outcoached.
I expected the loss, but the way we lost stunk really bad.

Defense was terrible. They created 2 turnovers, but except that, everything was an fat F. No pressure on Bortlers, whatsoever. He was basically untouched for the whole game! Unacceptable! Secondary wasn't much better either. They we at least a step behind on majority of plays. Run defense is maybe only ok-ish part, but by no means was great. The bad part is that i don't see a fix on this defense. We are too slow, and some teams figured it out how to beat this unit.

Offense is limited, and without Edelman, there isn't a reliable 3rd down target. Gronk was doubled for the biger part of the game, and the running games was nonexistent. Kudos to Hogan for 2 TDs, we need him bad going forward. Dorsett and Patterson took a step(or two) back. White is good. Also, the OL performance was abysmal. They were tossed left and right, for the whole game. This unit is the key for our success, and it has to get better.

Just an overall bad performance, and a lot of negatives. We have a lot of things to fix. I don't expect us to win every game, but we cant play like this an hope for something big in january.

We are on to Detroit.

The team came out flat in a 90+ degree stadium and lost to a team that made this game their Super Bowl. Hard to watch? Yeah. But it's a loss in September to a good team. Not exactly time to panic yet.

Brady sucked. The OL sucked. Hogan and Gronk were MIA.

The defense was bad but at least produced 2 turnovers. If you can't win against Jacksonville when you are up two turnovers then you don't deserve to win.

Hope there is enough tape to learn and move on.
LOL. Brady “sucked” because the Jags D is elite at every level. You need trickery to beat them. Expecting them play well in Jax with this group on offensive is comical.

Any loss is tough but these annual full-spectrum unprofessional abominations are inexcusable. I hate that this team can turn in such miserable efforts sometimes.

You can keep spouting this low IQ take all you want, but it speaks volumes that you can't back it up after I've refuted its stupidity twice.

Almost any quarterback in the NFL would have topped brady, statistically, with the protection and amount of wide open receivers Bortles had today.

It wasn’t even fair.

I really though we would shut down the passing attack of the jaguars. They did it with guys who don’t have much experience or never had 1000 yards. They lost lee to injury. It shows you how terrible the pass defense was. Pathetic!

The better team won. Only chance we had at winning this was being aggressive and we played scared. Just like JAX did to us last year in the title game. Very ironic.

The Patriots were beaten by a team that has better overall talent than they
have. This team is not very deep with young talent because of skimpy drafts.

Clayburn was awful.....Michel durability worries me

It was 90+ at the stadium? Good thing you mentioned it or else I would of never had this weather drilled into my head during the game...

It's unacceptable to have a defense like this in the final years of the best quarterback of all time, this isn't even a bend but don't break defense this is one of the worst 10 defenses in the NFL.

Dude you have no credibility by trying to paper over the obvious major problems with our defense. The offense played badly, without a doubt. But they are a known quantity. They put up a stinker today against an elite defense. But we all know that they are far far better than that, esp with Edelman.

The defense is what may sink this team, you know it but you just can't bring yourself to focus on it, preferring to go after Brady instead (something you did with the Super Bowl).

The Bortles outplayed Brady line just makes you look stupid. If Brady got to face a defense like the Pats put on the field today he would have had 400 yards and 5 TDs.

Total team loss . Offense, defense, coaching all were poor. No answers all day for bortles and the crossers. Jax is the better team right now and showed it. That said, its one game and plenty time to turn it around.

Big shoutout to Gilmore , van noy and white, the only guys to make plays and give us a chance. Too bad the rest didn’t bother.

Awful decision to punt on 4th and half a yard. The defense didnt play great, but they did finally make a few big stops and you are just asking too much at that point. As we all suspected it came back to haunt us and it did not take long.

We have Detroit, then miami and indy at Gillette. Good chance to be 4-1 heading into the kc game where hopefully we can get a good performance.

Van Noy was the guy who blew the tackle on the game ending 60 yard TD. He's a nice backup but he's not a good starter

Is he the GOAT or not? I am getting tired of this narrative. Anyone can win games against worse or similar opponents.

Missing throws like the one on Dorsett when he had 2 steps on his CB was just bad.

No need to panic. They might re-sign Kenny Britt!

Clayborn, Shelton and J.McCourty are all as bad or worse than the guys they replaced. Hightower, Chung and D.McCourty look slow.

That D ain't getting better. Results will improve as they start playing bad teams. But that's an awful unit talent wise.

Agree with your analysis here....and yes both Mccourty brothers look like Father Time was pulling on their jerseys....not looking good

The defense is a what kept this team in the game with their two turnovers. Thats a fact.
