Eagles fans scrambling to rationalize how Wentz is better

Pats DL played with better discipline this week. Benching Clayborn was smart and hopefully continues. He needs to go early in the offseason

Offense is a disaster right now. Can’t imagine there are too many teams in the playoffs who they could expect to run for 270 (or even 170) against. Passing game has to step it up but their receivers are just so bad at getting open quickly that it seems unlikely.

Maybe this moment can energize the team even more.

Wentz in New England for a 1st?
Id do it let him learn behind Brady
Any hope that Danny Etling can be a starter?

If we want to look at the positive possibilities for the Offense. With Gordon’s exit, this team has To re-invent itself offensively. We more often than not do that very well. Securing a bye going into the playoffs will increase the chances of that reinventing being successful. Teams will have no tape on what we are bringing to each game. They’ll be flying by the seat of their pants just as much as we would be as spectators. It’s gonna come down to whether we make the right calls and execute.

We won. That's all that matters.

Passing game seems to be off but that will come firing back sooner rather than later.

What people perceive as a leg injury for Brady is most likely the result of him being jittery and not very confident because he knows he doesn't have offensive weapons that can get open. The loss of Cooks and Amendola coupled with Gronk being a shell of himself has turned this into a popgun offense. When the offense was going well a few weeks ago, Brady was driving the ball, and throwing darts. Even against Miami in the first half, he was throwing bullets. It's not a matter of whether or not he can do it. It's more a matter of his confidence in the offense being shot. He is jittery back there, and he can't find open guys.

And we’ve seen him like this before and he always rebounds as soon as he is given good talent around him. Doesn’t help for this season but he should be fine next year if Belichick can manage to put good receivers and tight ends around him

Have to believe the Gordon development was somewhat unexpected, and they'll need a few weeks to re-evaluate everyone's roles. That said, get the win against the Jets next week, and you've got two weeks to figure that out. I'm happy with that, and won't bet against BB, Brady, and Josh to come up with an offense that works.

I don't think very highly of this team.......However, we are now in a position to reach the SB if we can win this last game IMO. Who knows, maybe chiefs lose their first game and then we are playing the championship game at home. I'm alot more optimistic now. Now......if we end up playing in arrowhead.............different story. But we'll cross that bridge when/if we get there.

would he be a fit with NE? 20mil team option next year IIRC

What’s our cap situation next season?

A Win is a Win, Big Win, coupled with a Texan’s loss.
We’re On To jets*

Wentz is better, but if the Eagles come to the opposite conclusion I would hope Belichick would helpfully take Wentz off their hands.
The consensus among fans here is that the Eagles players seem to play harder when Foles is in the QB........

If this team wants any kind of deep playoff run, they need a first round bye. 41 year olds need rest
