I am not mad. I just think its kinda silly to get a 1000 yards out of a guy and then wheel him for what you paid.

They were not going to get more than that. So calling it peanuts is dumb. You made a dumb comment. Own up to it and move on

Bill wasn’t looking to “dump” cooks from what the reports said. They were in contract negotiations, Bill had a set price, cooks’ agent wanted more so Bill took the best offer, which was 1st round pick. Solid return but that pick tore his Achilles unfortunately.

The part about tonight that surprised me the most was, like last week, the total lack of urgency and the play calling on offense when there was still half the final quarter left.

Never thought I’d see a 21st century NE team give up with half the final quarter left, let alone doing it two weeks in a row.

That is very odd...and disturbing.

The point wasn’t the compensation being squeezed to the last drop bud, it’s the fact that they traded a thousand yard receiver, failed to replace him and expected Phillip Dorsett to step in and fill his shoes. Follow along.
Yes, the patriots should have a crystal ball and know that JE would get suspended and MAtthews and Britt would get injured.

Try to follow along. I know you are a little slow. but try.

Improved, sure, no doubt.

But the line has been okay and given Brady time to throw.

Problem is he has no one to throw it too

Cooks would clearly remedy that.

OT was just as big a need at the time as WR. We just lost solder, we had holes at OT and we were/are still weak opposite mason at OG/C

I'm talking about 2018.

Keeping hanging your hat on passed years though
So what do you want ? BB fired like you are suggesting ? Give a solution what this team needs to do after 3 games into the season .

The thing that worries me is that the Lions are a terrible team. Yet they crushed the Pats. This game was not competitive.

Tonight they played in a way that would indicate they don't have much talent. Sometimes, however, capable players have bad games.

You may very well be correct, but I think Brown and Shelton are capable of better. I know the offense will get an injection of talent in the coming weeks.

The offense I'm not concerned about; the defense is a tougher nut to crack but there are avenues for them to improve. Anything from a trade, to the return of injured players, to promotion of a player(s) on the PS, and to players who currently under-performing simply playing better.

Brown and Shelton have not shown they're anything but barely serviceable at this point in their careers. The problem is if this doesn't get turned around, the number of holes on this roster show up everywhere. No developmental youth at QB, WR, TE, LB ( maybe Bentley, but he looks slow now that the bullets are flying for real), Safety or CB. Flowers and Wise may have something, but where else is there youthful talent on this team. They are simply bad.

Right. The Patriots were apparently ready to cut Dorsett if he did not take a pay cut because they thought they had too many better WRs ahead of him. Then they all got hurt or suspended.

LOL a blind ******ed squirrel could look into a crystal ball and predict Jordan freakin Matthews and Kenny freakin Britt, two oft injured jouneymen receivers, wouldn’t even come close to filling Cooks shoes.

Apparently you bought in and drank the cool-aid...

Get the pink hat off, it’s devouring your brain of oxygen.

I don't believe they have the horses to do it. DL was moved 3 yds backwards all night. No proven pass rusher outside of Flowers, and no playmakers in the secondary outside of Gilmore.

The offense is the least of my concerns

Just remember that your last troll night resulted in the mods going full metal jacket on that thread.

The Pat's are relying on a 41 yr old QB to make up for a roster that has less talent than the Lions.

We lost to a terrible browns team during mangini days. Sh*t happens. Doesnt hide their defensive woes though. 3rd down defense is an issue for ages now.

Call me what you want incel. Nothing you posted made sense and you insulting me is proof you have no idea what you are talking about. You troll game needs a lot of work. Get on that.

At least they looked capable last season

If they swapped jerseys with the browns at this point I don’t think anybody would notice a difference in play

The Browns have talent on defense.
Do we?

Hightower looks terrible
McCourty is not making any impact.
The DL couldn’t push through the 10 items or less line at Shaw’s.

I have hope for the offense, but it is going to take a lot to turn this defense around.

Okay good talk chief.

They hate their coach!!!

In all seriousness they need to get their **** together and “do their job”, not just the players by the coaching staff as well. If you’re team is having these issues, it’s better to have them early and figure it quickly. Miami next week just became the biggest game of the season in a hurry.

The mods should relax the rules when this team reaches a new low of being manhandled by the Detroit freaking Lions.

I can't speak for others but, in my case, pointing out that Michel's not ready is not an attempt to blame him. He's a rookie, and he was hurt. He just shouldn't be getting the snaps and touches he's getting, because he's not up to speed yet, and it's hurting the team.

That's on the coaches (and Brady, if he's feeding into it with checks, audibles and the like).
Fair enough, but who else runs the ball? White cannot, and Burkhead can’t avoid getting hurt. Hill getting hurt was a big loss.
