All this talk of playoff seeding seems to have a “head in the sand” vibe to it.

We lost from a play that had a likelihood of about 1% of success. If not less. I don't think it really makes too much sense to optimize on that end of the entire thing but on the 70yd miracle play.
I agree - it should not have mattered

Bingo. They haven't even sewn up a playoff spot yet. Seeding talk is waaaay overrated.

This is going to hurt, for a long, long time... This kind of loss can be devastating on a long run, too. We played a sloppy game, again. That's something what was, probably, expected. All three phases had their shares of positive and negative plays. And everything would be ok, if they didn't surrendered that last play. That's just unexcusable, pathetic and unacceptable.

I get that this team is not really built to go all the way, and I don't expect a SB, but this was a gut-wrenching loss. It's almost 2h since the game ended, I still feel sick.

Why I love this team so much? I was on the brink of mental breakdown, after the last play.

It used to be a lot worse. Although it used to be fun to watch the Pats play spoiler sometimes. Haha Ever since Brady played his first game anything became possible which wasn't the case prior. He's proven it over and over again on the biggest of stages. The biggest being their last two SB championships. We'll see.

You are the one who tries to somehow contort reality. The offense did not play good enough to score 37 points otherwise we would have won the game.

They had several shortfields thanks to 3 and outs by the defense and punt blocks by ST.
Brady had the one idiotic brain fart at the end of the 1/2....rest of the game he played well.
Second half...
Pats 1st possession of the 2nd half ended in a missed field goal..
The 2nd possession the pass was working well, couple completions to Gronk, unfortunate false start by Cannon creates a 2nd & 15, nice completion to JE for 12 yards.. Andrews totally blows it on 3rd&3 & Brady gets blindsided by a sack- punt
3rd possession, field goal
4th possession, uninspired runs on 1st,2nd& 3rd & goal, field goal.
So- one punt in the 2nd half, not too bad. We left points on the board, but when the Offense scores on 7 out of 11 drives of the game (and should’ve been 8,missed field goal)I’m not really complaining.
Fins have allowed 33 or more points 2 other times this entire season- @ Patriots, 38, and Texans put up 42 on em’.
The Defense allowed Fins 34 pts, the most they’ve scored in a game this entire season. The side of the ball that definitely didn’t show up today was Defense.

Hope you’re doing ok. It’s not good to let the game get to you that deeply. It’s meant for enjoyment. Sometimes it doesn’t work out, that sucks, but life goes on.

Play a video game or something for a while and get your mind off it of and you’ll realize it’s not such a big deal ultimately. Don’t fret

Brady, Gronk, Edelman, Gordon, White

6 points in a half.

But that is not a problem and at all partly at fault for losing the game by one point.
How dare you insinuate our Lord and Saviour Thomas Brady was not perfect and all-powerful?? You trying to sh*t on his legacy or something?

Now take back your complaint about the offense only scoring 6 points in the second half, you apostate!

Go watch some World Series highlights

In all honesty I was just watching the last play of the game and like I just posted about Pittsburgh....EVERY single problem this team has is evident on that last play. This entire team is SLOPPY, Lazy, undisciplined, HORRIBLY coached, and lacking any intensity passion or fire!!! Did you watch the laziness, and Non aggressiveness.....and utterly WORST tackling attempts and execution I HAVE EVER witnessed in almost 40 years of watching/following this team! That play should have been over after the FIRST LATERAL.....Hit them in the chest hard and with intensity....that looked like my 3rd grade gym team playing fcking two hand touch with all the kids that weren’t athletes at all and didn’t want to get dirty!!!

That play will go down in sports history as one of the most embarrassing, laughable, and PATHETIC efforts on a play!!!.....The entire team coaches and organization should be Ashamed!!!!!!

That'sd certainly what everybody does, but I don't think it's a given. If you call the right play, you probably have a 20% chance of scoring. If they stop you, they won't be able to get a FD try. Here, there was a chance for a weird return, or a weird final play. I don't see them doing something similar if they start from the 2 or 1.

With no timeouts left they would have had to do something gimmicky. Going for the FG was the right call. What happened afterwards was just unbelievable.

I dunno...I'd say that the last play of the game happened because the Pats committed too early and were too aggressive.

Good/great teams don't let what transpired on the last play happen.

This isn't a bad team, but it's not good enough to win it all.

Pats are a great team at home.

On the road not so much at least this season
