I know the details arent out yet but let's settle where this board is at.

For me the hoarding and lust for picks throughout nfl fandom is perplexing. I'm all for a move to bring a veteran impact player in. Draft pick might take 2 years to develop and more often than not fail entirely.

Pats 2nd round pick is like a 3rd rounder. If it was the only way to get Sanu on the team, then I'm all for it. Here's an interesting comment from a Falcon's fan:

"Sanu is the most under rated wide reciever in the NFL. As a falcons fan, this is horrible news. This is the first trade that really hit me in the heart. He is a reliable and classy athlete. Im just glad he will get a ring in his career now. lol He desrves it"

Did we have two seconds again? It would make me feel better.

If we win the Superbowl? Yes.

If we don't? Gordon and Dorsett are out of contract, so probably.

Out of context it's probably a bit of an overpay. But when you have a 42yo QB who is, in his own words, is "close to the end", it's not.

Also draft picks are not for drafting players. They are capital assets. Sometimes you use them to draft players, sometimes you use them for acquiring players in other ways. Hoarding them to draft players is silly. As is hoarding them just to hoard them.

It’s really more like a 3rd to be honest.

It's high, no doubt, but so was Dallas trading a 1st for Amari Cooper, at the time. How Sanu plays going forward will decide how we look back on it.

Much more even split on this than I expected so far

What are the contract details after signing...How much for how long? Who do they cut to make room? Cap hit .... Details...details...details

depends on your definition of worth

considering where the 2nd rounder is (more like a 3rd), considering (3) 3rd round picks in hand for this draft, and looking at the fit (fills a specific need of big body, sure possession receiver that gets open quickly) and the character (he's a BB guy all the way) and the market/demand.......there's one clear answer

Keep in mind: Our 2nd round pick this year is at #64

His contract is very reasonable. The remainder of $3.5M for this season and $6.5M for next year.
