Yeah was just thinking about Reiss’s comments actually. I don’t think many of us saw this mess coming.

Barring injury starting Zappe now would accomplish the same thing as playing Stidham in 2020. Does nothing for the team this year or in the future. He’s not long for the roster either way.
Not if they don’t have guys for him to throw to. Literally nobody to go to in key moments. I was worried it would be tough….can honestly say I didn’t see this coming. And I’m extremely disappointed in Jones. He’s a guy who is showing zero fire in the face of adversity, and his lack of improvement in terms of his fundamentals tells me he must truly not be holding himself accountable enough.

I bet crappy zappy smurf throws his and hits the players head in front of him before it hits the laundry bag. It’s tough being 4’10” and pretending to be a QB in this league in more ways than one!
The players were happy.

You used just enough starch.

BB is not doing everything that he can to win.

When you keep Corky in the game last week and now this week, you have quit trying to win.
No way you were impressed by Zappe man

Couldn’t tell you except I know the guy that your hero the 4’10 QB hit with his puny little arm throwing his jockstrap was not impressed…

Jock washing is a lost art.

I don’t agree with calling Zappe “crappy” but his addition into the game, and his subsequent struggles, also just emphasizes how devoid of talent they are on offense. It also didn’t help that Douglas went down, and there’s literally no one other than Bourne who could be considered their version of “explosive.”

I don’t think starting Zappe is going to do much other than maybe have them win a couple of games against lesser talent if they manage to figure anything out, but I’m not currently high on Mac right now, either. Not to mention, not a lot of teams left on the schedule who fall into that “lesser talent” category as reality just punched them in the face in a big way and they don’t really have the horses to answer.

And with the offensive line being as bad as it is, they’re hosed no matter who they put back there. The people calling for Malik Cunningham don’t realize that to play that style for 60 minutes requires an insane amount of improvising, which I only know of one other QB who can do that consistently and he’s in Kansas City. That’s just too big of an ask with a group this porous.

Mike Reiss said two weeks ago he thought they were in trouble and he’s definitely right. And I don’t see a solution through this with so many games still left to play.

Probably going to be a bumpy ride.

When Zappe is in there, he stands in the pocket, he moves around the pocket, he sets his feet, he drives into the ball. He doesn't get scared.

Then he throws a ball... that is very inaccurate.

He is not an NFL QB.

That being said, I like seeing the semblance of a competent QB when he is in, knowing that the second biggest part of being a QB is having an accurate arm.

The play that underlined and captured today's game for me was not the bad toss to Rham (which would've been a TD) but rather one of Mac's last passes to Henry at the 1st down marker. It arrived too late, Mac ducked out of the throw because of an oncoming rusher, and though it was accurate, it didn't have enough zip to get to Henry in time before the defender knocked it out. It captured everything about Mac.

Can't wait to see what t-shirts they wear this week.

“No one is coming to save us. This isn’t irony or anything. We really aren’t very good and likely won’t win many games. Just being accurate.”

I just feel bad for the defense and im not sure how there could NOT be a divide. You’ve been carrying the team on your back and keeping them competitive for 2 seasons.

You give the offense 2 opportunities to win week 1 and they blow it. You give them a chance to tie it against the dolphins and they blow it. You stop them several times against the jets, even get a safety and the offense cant even get a first down to help you.

Then you lose your 2 most important players, plus a couple others. Despite that You stop the saints on their first 2 drives in a last ditch effort to turn the season around, and the offense not only ccant move an inch but gives them 7 points which essentially would be too big of a lead for our offense to catch up. How long can you put up with this??

The locker room knows Belichick is Bambino cursed for stabbing Tom in the back multiple times.

Imagine being a ****ty NFL team and wearing matching t-shirts.

Has he lost the locker room?

This is pure conjecture based on the record. Until we see or hear evidence at least anecdotally -- like last year's grumblings re. Patricia -- the problem isn't lack of buy-in from the players. IMO it pretty much begins and ends with lack of roster talent, especially on offense. So bash BB the GM if you're looking for a place to point fingers.

I'll note that the defense showed plenty of effort today from start to finish, despite really tough circumstances. The offense was just inept.

I and any others here saw the Belichick trainwreck as early as midway last year
