Foster over one of the CB, Pittsburgh plays 3 WR enough that we don't want to be short on CBs in this game.

Martavius Bryant is Suspended. Markus Wheaton is out. That leaves Antonio Brown, Heyward-Bay, and Sammie Coates for them for WR..

The Steelers throwing game isn't something I'm worried about beating the Patriots. It's their ground attack with Le'veon Bell

Eli Rogers is a nice, young slot receiver too.

Unless our offense disappoints they'll need to throw to beat us.

Brady will come out slinging and get a big lead that puts the Steelers in catch up mode and allows us to play light and fast on D while Blount chews the clock in the 2nd half.

That's what we can hope, because if it is a tight game and they find any success at all running the ball, our two DT will be gassed by the fourth quarter and the Pittsburgh offense could control the game. That's my biggest concern for this game. I've no idea how to handicap that.

Not a good situation especially looking at next Sunday as well. Hopefully one can go then.
I really don't like the idea of Brown and Branch taking so many snaps. The good news is that they probably knew that all week and adjusted accordingly. It will be interesting to see how.

Maybe A Johnson will not be the only answer. The problem is that all the Pats DEs have basically the same weight - around 265lb (the same as Hightower). One poster mentioned that problem at the end of preseason already. Only backup OL-men have bigger frame. I remember reports Karras was playing DL at practice when VV went down. I hope Grissom is not the answer because he is painfully slow. Hope High, Ninko and Roberts can do the trick and B&B survive.

Hope TB & co. understand the situation and keep them off the field.
I'm not worried about brown handling the amount of snaps he will play. He won't be in for a lot if obvious passing downs and Johnson can sub in a little for both DTs. The max snaps he will play are not more than a lot of DTs do. He is young healthy and in shape.

Same for branch except the last sentence.

Seriously if you can't overcome missing your #3 & 4 rookie defensive tackles (one who was on the practice squad a few weeks ago) when your opponent is missing so many. you are not a good team.

Chung will stuff the middle with Hightower and Roberts.

I don't think you understand how the game is played. You have to have a rotation of your DTs so that they can catch a breather. That way they are fresh through-out the game.

Being without Valentine and Hamilton puts a ton of pressure on Malcolm Brown, Alan Branch and Anthony Johnson. We have to hope they can step up.

I expect Tomlin will try to take advantage of this situation. Maybe a lot of sideline stuff, hurry up, spread formations etc.

When you look at the Pats defense it's the most obvious hole.

Jamie Collins active.

I don't think you understand how an NFL season goes. Do you expect the entire roster to be healthy? If your team is not good enough to overcome this level of injury week 7 there's more to be concerned about than DT depth.

There's always a reason to lose.

Pats should run toward whoever is backing up Heyward.

Maybe we can bring Terrence Knighton back.
Agreed, assuming he's still in football shape, and assuming his release had more to do with talent than locker room fit. I think it was a talent thing, though.
