Unpopular opinion: Even though there was no competitive advantage, they admitted that people employed by the team violated a rule. It’s like getting caught in the carpool lane or going 5 miles over the speed limit, it doesn’t make you a bad person but if they punish you for it, you can’t really complain.

This was an unenforceable error and quite frankly I never want to here about this web series ever again because of it.

I don't think that's a super unpopular opinion, FWIW. The Pats should get a standard gameday procedure violation fine and that should be the end of it.

It's almost like they should be punished just for stupidity. Patriots employees shouldn't even be allowed to buy a camera on Walmart even for vacation purposes.

Yet, these guys go there and film the next opponent the Pats will face when the Patriots lost 2 in a row and there's a playoff spot at stake.

The whole thing is just so stupid that I believe in BB that he knew nothing about it just like the whole football ops staff. The simple and first explanation is fair enough that you can be convinced that it was a very naive mistake, but is that thing, if it's the Steelers I'd be saying, it looks like cheating, it sounds like cheating, it smells like cheating so it must be cheating.

First and foremost, **** the Steelers, but a rational explanation is a rational explanation. The film crews have interviews of the scout for the piece, this work was all declared and credentialed. This situation could have been any other team shooting an NFL films type thing and if this was the reaction and I knew the facts, I would be laughing at the hysterical overreaction.

However, how many non Pat fans will look beyond what the major sources of sporting news present them? Most of the thumb sucking morons of the world will go “yeah where is the scout in those tapes”, instead of deduce that you know, scouts aren’t on the opponents sidelines a week before the scheduled game, this is footage that depicts the scouts perspective, naturally it isn’t footage of a scout in a place he logically wouldn’t ever be. That being said, it is within sound reason to have footage depicting what a scout scouts.

But again, it’s narrated by security personnel, from Cincinatti Ohio. Just dumb enough for the masses to latch onto what he is saying, without being so stupid anyone really questions what he is saying.

Because it’s going to drag on and is no longer a rational investigation. Reports were that the league was likely going lenient on the Pats and would hand down a punishment by the end of last week. Now Moron Vincent is involved and they’re up to their same tricks of leaking the most damning info without context and framing this to fit an agenda, and suddenly this is a cavity search again. Deflategate got a sub-forum when it became apparent who the NYJFL really is. Expect the same BS here. Put it on a different forum since it’s no longer a topic about truth and fairness...don’t put a thread on here that in reality some **** show from absurdly jealous owners and the agenda they’re trying to push. It can be discussed on the sub-forum.

This just happened last weekend, and there were league meetings in Dallas this week. They haven’t even been able to start the investigation yet. I think we’re panicking a bit. Goodell flat out said that nothing would be done until after the weekend. If Goodell and the other 31 have any type of common sense, they take care of this by the middle of next week, before it’s discussed at dinner tables all over the world for the holiday.

Of course, we know that they don’t always react accordingly, but let’s just see where we’re at next weekend.

Just watched the local Pittsburgh news and saw all 3 talking heads suggest that Belichick should be suspended for a year (or more), with the Pats forfeiting this season, and many other ridiculous suggestions. The fire is starting to burn brightly, and that was fueled by the Jay Glazer tape. If the NFL has any decency they nip this in the bud ASAP.

I haven’t even gone there in my mind because we’ll be lucky to win a playoff game, let alone three, but that would definitely be epic.

Unfortunately, our team has about 3/4 of a receiving option out of about 6 players, and that’s not going to cut it against real teams.

It's the second time the organization has been caught using cameras. It no longer matters that they meant no harm either. It looks really bad. The NFL is going to drop the hammer. And nobody can blame them. The blame should be on the organization.
