Pats still interested in Sherman

Just putting this out here - Anyone saying 'Butler is a far superior tackler than Sherman' either hasn't seen Richard Sherman play, or is being intentionally disingenuous because they can't come up with an actual reason Butler is better.

Sherman is, at worst AS good a tackler as Butler. Butler's a really good tackler from the corner position. Logan Ryan's probably the best. Richard Sherman would be 1a to Ryan.

Also the 'Sherman's too old, Butler's still young' nonsense is hysterical. Sherman's 18 months older than Butler.

Sherman (6'3), Gilmore (6'1), and Rowe (6'1) is a pretty darn tall collection for your top 3 corners. You'd better hope one of those three can cover shifty slot receivers.
Why do people act like we didn't just draft Cyrus Jones, sign Jonathan Jones, Coleman & we can't draft other "smaller-shiftier" CBs??? These guys are here/ will be here for a reason.

Let's Bring **** to the Patriots!
How come nobody is buying my Give **** to Belichick Tees?
I don't understand

Players in bold were successes at their originally projected (by the team) positions, in their first stint with the team. I was a little bit of a good grader with regards to the word success.

Players in underlying are either more questionable successes, succeeded only upon return, or succeeded at a different position.

That's not anything approaching a tremendous track record, particularly with regards to those initially projected as CBs making it as CBs, so people aren't exactly coming out of left field if they have concerns about someone like Jones.

Things should have changed for our defense over the years, how many years in a row did we almost bring back Ty Law, like 3 or 4 years?

Ok great, but he was terrible on ST. Not as a CB. In the limited he played CB, he wasn't terrible. He seems to have his head on straight now (at least according to his quote earlier this offseason. Give the guy(s) a chance.

He was terrible as a CB, and he had limited time at CB because he was terrible at CB.

Yes, sir, especially with Patrick Chung.

Thanks for catching that. He was supposed to get the underline. I've edited that.

No, he had limited time at CB because we had Butler, Ryan & Rowe. Ryan is a beast in the slot. Also, because he fumbled/ turned the ball over on ST. BB will make sure you do NOT see the field at ANY position if you turn the ball over. C'mon we all (should) know that.

Jones sucked as a CB, and you're wildly overrating Ryan. And, if Jones didn't suck as a CB, he'd have been playing more at CB, regardless of his struggles in the return game. It's not as if Coleman was a man among boys when he was out there, after all.

Ryan can BALL in the SLOT chief & is decent on the perimeter. What games were you watching?

If Sherman lands here, I might legitimately shoot a fat load right into my pants.
That's an oxymoronic statement. You cannot LEGITIMATELY shoot a fat load in your pants

I'm a sucker for great players that want to play for the patriots. Trade for the beast.
