And dead money/ backloaded / restructured deals from the 2021 FA class. I don’t think people fully grasp just how insanely stupid and franchise crippling it was to shell out those massive deals to Henry, J. Smith, and Agholor. It has a domino effect as well, as they’re then signing garbage players like Parker, JJSS, etc so they can fit the deals under their now-****ed cap structure.

To me the most telling sign of BB needing to go is the Pats league leading cap space in 2024. This is the worst position to be in and will lead to another FA frenzy cycle. I was down on BB in 2020/21 but didn’t realize just how bad he is now as a GM. He’s doing everything exactly the wrong way, passing on homegrown players for shiny names who weren’t good enough to be franchises/extended by their own teams. This is truly Jets level stuff.
