He wants a contract. He didn't show up to OTAs. That could mean multiple things including one of them a lack of commitment to improve.

Has he said that?He wants a contract.
Every player in the final year of their deal who wants to keep playing wants a contract. That’s just common sense.Has he said that?
I can think of about 9.5 million reasons why the Patriots would trade Wynn for a not so great draft pick.
"If the Patriots were to trade Isaiah Wynn as previously reported, the team would save $9.518 million in cap space."

I'm not convinced Wynn wants to stay here nor was I convinced he wanted to stay here before the team picked up the 5th year option.Every player in the final year of their deal who wants to keep playing wants a contract. That’s just common sense.
This is especially true of players in the final year of their rookie contract… guys who have had a small taste of big NFL money but haven’t earned that mega contract yet.
Wynn might be faking injury, the Pats might be holding him back after seeing he was healthy earlier in camp to protect him. They’re not a heartless corporation, they understand these players are human and they also want to protect their asset.
Typically before a player gets traded in preseason a team will put him in bubble wrap, they don’t want him getting hurt before they deal him. I’m not saying that’s the case here but it might be. They might also want to see some of the younger lineman, they know what they have in Wynn.
Do you really think a 5 year vet “improves” in a 2 day OTA of walk through? He didn't show up to OTAs. That could mean multiple things including one of them a lack of commitment to improve.
Not necessarily. They view him as an asset to trade.I don’t think they would have picked up his option if he had a poor work ethic the past 4 years. Those players don’t last long under Belichick.
I think their coach views every opportunity in the building as an opportunity to improve. It's a culture. You know that.Do you really think a 5 year vet “improves” in a 2 day OTA of walk through?
What value could it really hold for an OL when there is no contact?
Seriously? Not necessarily. They view him as an asset to trade.
You said he doesn’t care about improving. There is no way he sees an OTA as an opportunity to improve.I think their coach views every opportunity in the building as an opportunity to improve. It's a culture. You know that.
Who knows, but he’ll probably go where the money is. He already has a ring from 2018, even if he was injured the entire time.I'm not convinced Wynn wants to stay here nor was I convinced he wanted to stay here before the team picked up the 5th year option.
I think you overrate himSeriously?
You think that they don’t want him
but see a guy on a guaranteed 5th year option who will then be free as excellent trade bait? And they started him every game he has been available because they don’t want to play him?
Not sure why you have a grudge on Wynn but it’s clouding your thinking.
Missing OTAs shows a less-then-100% commitment to the team. Period. You called Brady out for it but won't for Wynn? You said he doesn’t care about improving. There is no way he sees an OTA as an opportunity to improve.
And if BB really valued it, as a way to improve, he wouldn’t give them the last day off every year
He knows Pats are not committed to him. He probably does not want to risk injury any more than he has to. Will he play hard for next years contact or not hard to avoid injury? I say the latterMissing OTAs shows a less-then-100% commitment to the team. Period. You called Brady out for it but won't for Wynn?
If Wynn- with his injury and performance issues last year, choses not to utilize every opportunity to immerse himself into a winning program that says something about his focus and commitment.
I hope its' the former Wynn...win for us.He knows Pats are not committed to him. He probably does not want to risk injury any more than he has to. Will he play hard for next years contact or not hard to avoid injury? I say the latter
It is in Wynn's best interest to play full-tilt during the reg season. OTAs, preseason and practices I get (ala Gilly) I getHe knows Pats are not committed to him. Plus, playing half-assed opens oneself up to injury more than going full tilt. That’s true in just about every contact sport. It is in Wynn's best interest to play full-tilt during the reg season. OTAs, preseason and practices I get (ala Gilly)
Yep and hes better off playing full-tilt and excelling on the field even if he misses a bunch of time. At least he has a chance to get a deal which would pay him well if he hits incentives based on playing time and performance.Plus, playing half-assed opens oneself up to injury more than going full tilt. That’s true in just about every contact sport.
