I’m still expecting Croston to make the team. We’ll see how it goes.Yup. Or maybe Snarnecchia observed to Bill, hey there's something there I could work with these two.

Not NEARLY that simple. They are both going to come here and it is LITERALLY like you or me going from here to China and have to learn how to speak Chinese. The language here is very different from other teams, so even if you know the rules, it takes time to learn them in a DIFFERENT language. All they really need to remember is: inside gap, head-on, outside gap.
Ken, I was KIDDING. Didn't you notice the winking smilie? Not NEARLY that simple. Still uncomfortable about Brit players. That 1812 thingy.
Your argument is Thuney who has not played a snap at C in the regular season.
Then met Andy Jackson for Mardi Gras. They did pretty well in 1812, as I recall.
These are trades for depth. Why are people acting like we need to bring in 5 Johnathan Ogdens?
Ferentz and Skipper are not viable options as far as I’m concerned. If Bill and Dante think that the guys they’re bringing in can provide depth then I’m all for it.I know, right? This is a deal to shore up that last couple of spots on the line. Are these guys better than the guys they're ostensibly replacing? Who knows. I trust BB thinks they are, or he wouldn't have made the deals. If BB thinks they are, who in the world are we to think otherwise?
If Karras goes down, who's the next man up?It seems strange to trade for two O-lineman and neither has any experience at center.

Ferentz, though maybe Thuney will get some practice reps there.
This is just me reading between the lines from last season when Ferentz surprisingly was added to the 53, but I don’t think the coaches think very highly of Ted Karras as a Center.
Yes, you can say it would weaken two positions, but I would not be surprised to see Thuney at Center with Karras, Froholdt or Eluemuner playing left guard when the season opens. Maybe, the guy who intentionally got a 37 on his Wonderlic might be a little more up to the cerebral aspects of the position than Alex Karras’ great-nephew.
How many OLinemen do you see them carrying on the 53? Assuming yesterday’s acquisitions make it along with Froholdt that’s 8 right there. Can they carry 9 to fit Ferentz on the roster with some of the talent that they would lose at others positions?
That’s why I think the plan is to either play Thuney at C or Froholdt as the backup.
Froholdt was always a developmental prospect for 2020 and beyond. And he wouldn't get through waivers anyway as the Jets are drooling over this dude.I don't know what the plan is. Froholdt hasn't exactly lit it up at G since he arrived. Maybe he doesn't make the 53.
Maybe they keep Wynn, Thuney, Karras, Mason, Cannon, Ferentz and the two new guys. Or maybe they pick up a C-G on 9/1.
