Also, how did Pats/Broncos not make prime-time?

CBS likely had to give up another marquee game or two in order for NBC not to get Pats/Broncos.

Games like Denver/Pittsburgh, New England/Baltimore, Baltimore/Pittsburgh all fit this category.

The Pats are playing in Seattle again after doing so in 2008. I thought that teams were supposed to alternate Home and Away games with NFC teams?

I was wondering about that myself, but I read on the comments thread on the Patriots.com article announcing the schedule that the league tweaked the scheduling formula in 2010 for games between teams on opposite coasts and that is how it worked out.

Forget pats and broncos, how did pats vs. niners not make MNF?????

Forget pats and broncos, how did pats vs. niners not make MNF?????

Because MNF is the "B" league game to SNF's "A" league game. I can't imagine Fox is happy about losing this game, along with all of the Cowboys/Eagles/Giants combo games they have lost.

After the BYE week, looks like the Pats have a ton of home games... should make for a decent regular season record, but doesn't bode well for preparing this team for the playoffs.

It'll be on NBC too, I think.

EDIT: Another poster has said that the Thnxgvng night game is now part of NBC, due to the new deal. I was not aware of this, sorry about that.

The Thanksgiving night game is normally only on NFLN, but the greater Boston/certain parts of NE area may also have it on the local channel too. I doubt it would be NBC though.

I live in Pittsburgh, and when the Steelers are on NFLN they still have the games on a local channel in the surrounding Pittsburgh area; however it is normally an ABC station (not sure why) here. Besides that, the local coverage is usually only about within about a 30-45 minute range outside of the city.

I'm not sure how they do it for those in your area, but I would imagine that there's at least a possibility of them having the Thanksgiving night game on a local Boston channel too, unless most teams don't normally do that, and it's just a "Pittsburgh" thing. (I honestly have no idea, not being a smartass)

I'm sure that someone may chime in on their experience with whether or not it has happened before in the greater Boston area.

Those without NFLN can possibly purchase an online package from them instead.

I'm pretty certain the night Thanksgiving game is now NBC only. Part of the new deal.

Unless the Jaguars are a lot better than expected, I only see two games that set up dangerously:

@Ravens (Sept 23rd) after a trip west to Arizona
@Jets (Thanksgiving) on a short week

I'm not thrilled with the Jets game after Seattle, but that's at least a home game.

"I see" said the blind man....

Thanks bud, I didn't know that info.

I will edit my post accordingly.

Because it is a Sunday night prime time game instead
They'll flex it out since no one will want to see the 6-7 49ers. Expect Steelers-Cowboys to take the place or, barring that, Packers-Bears.

While alot could change from now until the regular season, it does appear that we should once again cruise to a first round bye just by winning the games we should win.

If the defensive issues are fixed, I could see another run at 16-0. My early prediction though is 13-3 barring a Brady injury.

I love the timing of the Jacksonville game! My family will be spending Christmas in Florida where my folks live and my brother and I are already getting a crew ready to go to the game.

So I already got my tix for the thanksgiving game in Jets territory!!! Going with my crew and we're gonna tear that place down! Can't wait! and all that talk about how the last couple of teams who had the easiest schedule missed the playoffs basically sucked regardless.... Except for the patriots but thats when the wildcat came out and we had no idea as to how to tame it....

I am not saying we shouldn't root for our team and for it to be a cake walk.... remember any given sunday..... any one can win... BUT i like our odds

Will anybody else be going to the pats vs jets thanksgiving day game??? Jets fans seem to think that there will be more pats fans in the stands since its a holiday.... Lets prove them right!:rocker:

Nine 1:00 PM games I like it..

Voice of reason Mike Reiss has them at 13-3 after predicting 12-4 and 11-5 finishes in 2011 and 2010... His game by game reasoning is here:

Mike Reiss -- Game-by-game predictions for the 2012 New England Patriots - ESPN Boston

JETS beat writers Manish Mehta and Rich Cimini both have the JETS pegged at 9-7 with Cimini's game by game reasoning here:

New York Jets look like a 9-7 team in 2012 - ESPN New York

I personally have the JETS at 8-8 at best barring a total meltdown that mitigates an
easier second half schedule. If Buffalo starts hot as they often do... and Miami gives them fits on the road as they often do, they could be 0'fer the first month of the season. Indy could be their only W prior to our week 7 tilt, so I'm not feeling conceding Turkey Day as the writers did because we're coming off back to back home games and the bye while the JETS are coming off back to back road games in Seattle and St. Louis. And I think if they are a sub .500 team after the first 10 weeks as I think they will be, Fireman Ed ain't saving them becayse they will be in utter chaos by Turkey Day and will have been re-named the NYTebows for the remainder of the season.

Just look at the QBs on this schedule.....

One elite QB.....Manning....coming off a missed season on a new team... with inferior WRs than he is used to playing with.... for a run first coach. Pats easily rack up big points vs that Denver D.

Two solid QBs that have great Ds for support....Flacco and Schaub. Is Flacco really solid? Will Schaub make it to December? Regardless two great games that require a total team effort!

Servicable QBs that sometimes get it done.....Sanchez, Fitzpatrick, Smith, Bradford. Tough figuring out how the Jets have improved their roster besides adding a safety. The Bills are a wildcard....will all that new D talent gel? Fitzpatrick looks like the weak link on O. Alex Smith is Sanchez IMO. Great D in SF with a caretaker QB. BB will take the run away and force this guy to chuck it. If Brady can stay on his feet..... And the Rams....they are 3 years away.....too many rookies will be on that roster

JAG QBs the rest of the schedule....yawn

Conclusion: As a fan and a believer that teams need to be battleproven in order to have ultimate success....I like this schedule and look forward to the defensive challenges Brady will face from SF, Balt, Texans, Buff, Jets...etc. BB may even use a roster spot for an extra O lineman this year because Brady will be facing more heat than usual. Seeing this schedule also reinforces my belief that BB will be bringing in a big veteran RB to take some pressure off the passing game. NO WAY BB solely relies on our sophmore RBs vs these tough Ds on the schedule

Ya looking at the Week 11-17 games looks doubtful that any of those 1 pm games (Colts, Dolphins, Jags & Dolphins) are flexed to 4 or Sunday Night.
