Right now, I think you have to see him as little more than camp fodder. Yes he was Drafted high, but the injuries have been severe. The Colts have a 34 year old Reggie Wayne as their #1, and Austin Collie other than that - you can't let people go in that position unless you think they're done.

Looking forward to seeing him work hard though, and hopefully get a spot on the roster.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was able to contribute. I also wouldnt be surprised if he sprained his wrist signing the contract. Nothing to lose here, good move.

This is a fine pickup. I presume that he took a physical.

He is certainly a fine #4 wide receiver. He is even an upgrade form our 2012 #3: Ochocinco.

So, now we have our #1, #3, #5 and #6 wide receivers for 2012.

For now, we also have Ochocinco and Underwood; Branch is unsigned.

Seems like like a classic gamble on a low risk, high reward prospect. Odds are against the Patriots, but if he manages to stay healthy you get a good player at low money. Nothing not to like.
