That’s more of an indictment of their WR situation. No offense to Meyers, I liked him, but he has major limitations that many others have commented on in this thread.Makes no sense. Meyers was their best WR over the last two seasons.
Myers had to compete with traffic cones for targets. Schuster had to compete with Kelce. He barely outperformed Meyers on an offense with a QB lightyears better than ours.
Makes perfect sense. Just because you are the "best" on the team, doesn't mean he should be retained. Upgrades are needed. Case in point Bill let Talib walk and traded for Revis. Then Butler was their "best" CB in 2017, but Bill signed Gilmore instead rather than giving Butler a new deal.Makes no sense. Meyers was their best WR over the last two seasons.
He had Kelce. Meyers hogged majority of the targets. He barely outperformed Meyers on an offense with a QB lightyears better than ours.
We still may get him.. Juju is a great pick up.. Basically a better version of myers..Would rather have Jeudy
Absolutely agree! I've mentioned that Juju was a great pick upI don’t know how anyone could be upset about this signing. We signed the better receiver.
I hear ya, but if you have that many new players at the position I'd be hesitant to dump Bourne in favor of Berrios. Bourne isn't that expensive and would have familiarity with the team and system. I suppose Berrios has some level of familiarity too, so maybe not a huge deal but having at least one guy who has been here a couple years seems beneficial.I like Bourne and Parker but if they want Higgins they need the cap space and both those guys become redundant.
Higgins moves the needle.
Love the JuJu signing but it's not going to scare defenses.
Shocking takeugh, panic move
When I read “THEY WANTED ME and I wanted them”Pats didn't want him, not the other way around - confirmed
He had Antonio Brown on the team. It matters.Meyers haven't put up 1000yds or 900yds yet in a season let's not kid ourselves. Juju did that impressively twice I think Bob made this choice.
You must be new here.I don’t know how anyone could be upset about this signing. We signed the better receiver.
Cut Bourne and Parker and save $11m in 2023.
Trade 14th to Cinci for Higgins.
Sign Higgins 5y/$120m $60m guaranteed
WR1- Higgins
WR2- JuJu
TE1- Henry
TE2- Rookie
RB1- Rham
WR3- Berrios
WR4- Thornto
WR5- JAG
Well we need to get our version of AB to compliment him Trey Palmer Nebraska. He has Antonio Brown on the team. It matters.
We could have signed prime Julio Jones and the usual suspects would be upset about *something*.I don’t know how anyone could be upset about this signing.
Bob obviously thinks Meyers didn't fit his playing style as Rob pointed out. I mean clearly the Patriots could have resigned Meyers if they wanted to lets not beat a dead horse.
Definitely agree what Juju is a player that will have to command attention.. he runs excellent routes, great hands & is unlta physical he'll actually fight DBs for the ball.. we aren't Done I still believe a trade will happen.. when this offense is said and done in a few months I think we'll be very happy as fans.. I'd also love to add berrios..I hear ya, but if you have that many new players at the position I'd be hesitant to dump Bourne in favor of Berrios. Bourne isn't that expensive and would have familiarity with the team and system. I suppose Berrios has some level of familiarity too, so maybe not a huge deal but having at least one guy who has been here a couple years seems beneficial.
