Let’s say the games this weekend go perfectly and these teams win: Pats, Falcons, Bills, Bears, Browns, Texans, Rams, Titans, Raiders, Chiefs. You’d have an AFC that looks like this after this week (not counting tiebreakers):

Kansas City 3-1
Buffalo 3-1
Miami 3-1
**New England 2-2**
Cleveland 2-2
Baltimore 2-2
Pittsburgh 2-2
Indianapolis 2-2
Houston 2-2
Tennessee 2-2
Las Vegas 2-2
Jacksonville 1-3
Los Angeles 1-3
Cincinnati 1-3
NYJ 1-3
Denver 0-4

NE would be right in the mix, only a game behind the top seed and an equal or better record compared to all but 3 teams in the conference. Of course things probably won’t go exactly this way, but many could. A win vs Dallas is the most important thing.
We just need a balanced Team effort Offense cannot struggle in these kind of games. We know the D will make some stops Offense have to do their part that is move the the football against the other Team.

Really?? must be the new rule Safeties can't tackle anymore.

Throwback:

It’s definitely a tough schedule, but so far the rest of the AFC has been middling at best with a lot of teams hovering close to .500. If the Pats can keep pace and squeeze into a wild card spot, at that point they’ll have played most of the toughest teams in the league already and won’t be afraid of anyone in the postseason.

After draft-day slide, NFL DROM Christian Gonzalez shining for Patriots

5. IR returns: Receiver Tyquan Thornton (shoulder), cornerback Jack Jones (hamstring) and offensive lineman Riley Reiff (knee) are eligible to return from injured reserve after Sunday’s game, although it would be a surprise if all three are cleared to do so. For Jones, some around the team were targeting midseason as a more likely timetable, while Thornton’s presence in the locker room Friday could be viewed as a sign that he’s on the cusp.
