They didn't put in any claims, or they didn't put in any successful ones because other teams with higher priority beat them to the punch?

If they didn't put in any claims at all, then that's just arrogant laziness, and another manifestation of the disease that's rotting in this organization.

Teams had more opportunity to protect young players because of the practice squad rule.

We cut Mitchell, Ferentz, and (might have planned on Henry Anderson before the IR) to protect the Sam Roberts, S. Wade type of player who might have been gobbled up.

They'll eventually bring in some vested veterans, but I can see why we would rather have our young players who made this roster, rather than another team's discard.

I like the young players!

Based on Reiss’s phrasing in both yesterday’s tweet and today’s, I read it that they didn’t put in any claims.

*Yawns* once the most versatile player in the country but can't stick on a NFL squad color me not impressed. I get it he seems like a typical sucky Patriots Third Rounder *too many to list* I see why they signed him.

I always lol when a patriots player gets called “versatile”.

Give me a specialist like Justin Jefferson, whom fell to 23, over trading down and selecting some “versatile” average talent

Tough crowd here, lol.... Some stats for you:

He was a third-round pick by the Raiders in 2020, but they traded him to Miami during roster cuts but he still managed 28 catches for 211 yards. He spent all of last year on IR.
Can’t make the club from the tub! As our former coach once said

For one, I wouldn't describe Jefferson as a specialist. There's a lot of talk of him playing both outside and slot this year, and he's a guy that can beat you with routes AND speed. That's not a specialist, that's just a really good WR. But either way, there's really no benefit to comparing a late august PS signing versus taking a guy in the first round of the draft, so I'm not sure you're making the point you think you are.

Hmm.. No word on a corresponding moves yet.
No word on who #68 was yesterday.

He's a Malcolm Perry replacement. It will be good to have him on the PS, I think.
The dude played QB when they had injuries and won games so he can do it all. Surprised he was cut. Good for us I hope.

lol, very true Nick. Hopefully, he can stay healthy. Do you think he has a chance to fill the "James White role" with Ty being out, or would you go with JJ?
James White was a special player, one of the most underrated RBs of all time. Incredibly clutch and amazing pass catcher

I would say this guy might have some cordarelle Patterson ability which could be great news for our offense if he sticks. He looks very fast on tape. Not sure why he couldn’t hack it with another team
