We suck. We get it. It is still better than the Mac years. What I don't get is how we aren't playing with desperation. We should be going for it on 4th down in the first quarter etc. Its like Mayo hasn't realized we have nothing to lose.

You say that but this team won a useless game this very week last year that looked at the time to have cost them Drake Maye.

They could easily **** around and win a useless game down the stretch here and plummet from 3 to 9. Or is the right word skyrocket?

Either way. Today was a good day.
You aren't wrong. Winning a few meaningless games in 2020 (a bad Jets team, the Ravens in a monsoon) made the team think they should punt on a rebuild and also got us saddled with Mac.

Winning 4 games and potentially picking at 9 would be a disaster imo. There's almost no benefit. Hell we are a Giants or Raiders loss away from being in position to ransom one of the QB's in this draft. You do that and you could probably trade down, still get either McMillan or Hunter and then have two high draft picks in the second that you can use to get another WR or lineman or even make a play to trade back up deep into the first round again and get another stud on offense. That could be transformative to the team if we have any capable GM next year.

Maye is better than Mac. It is fun to watch Maye. But the balance of the team looks worse to me and I find that very worrying. Before it was replace Mac and we have a chance. Now it is like a huge wall to climb.

The Mayo hiring was a colossal franchise altering mistake. There is precedent for firing a coach after one season.
The Texans did it with David Culley
Cut your losses Kraft.
Mayo has not shown any signs of competence

We should hear more whispers from Jonathan Krafts camp this week.

For the poster who asked what good coordinators would come here under Mayo, aside from McDaniels I don’t see one.

our D cant stop a nose bleed

Kraft would have to put his ego aside and admit he was completely wrong about Mayo.
I think Kraft should think about the positive Headlines of hiring Joe Brady.
Brady back in New England. Can Brady lead the offense again?
In Brady Kraft trusts.
Plus it weakens the Bills.

I think you mean they were surprised the interview was not more football-oriented. That was my understanding. Makes you wonder WTF they focused on.
Right meant to say NOT about football
