Re: Next 7 Undefeated?

So with that hightly anticipated Jets game out of the way, does this team go undefeated the rest of the way? We have one of the easiest 7 game routes to close the season out.

I could honestly see us winning all of our remaining games and if we lost, it would either be the Eagles or Broncos. Even though the Eagles have a terrible record and bad 4th quarter curse right now, they are still a very dangerous team and cannot be taken lightly.

The Broncos for some odd reason seems to always beat us although I cant see Teebow lighting us up after a 2 for 8 passing game.

Thoughts?

12 Nov 27 NE @ PHI Lincoln Financial Field 4:15 PM
13 Dec 04 IND @ NE Gillette Stadium 1:00 PM
14 Dec 11 NE @ WAS FedExField 1:00 PM
15 Dec 18 NE @ DEN Sports Authority Field 4:15 PM
16 Dec 24 MIA @ NE Gillette Stadium 1:00 PM
17 Jan 01 BUF @ NE Gillette Stadium 1:00 PM

The 4 home games should all be gimme's, as will the Skins game (all 90% probablility). That leaves just 2 games that are questionable:
- Denver "should be" a win but it concerns me, especially with the weather there in December - maybe a 60-65% probability
- the Philly game is a tossup - 50-50.

I think we need to win them all for the #1 seed.

Re: Next 7 Undefeated?

I got tix for the Philly game. But, that one scares the bejeebers out of me. Maclin, D. Jackson, Vick and McCoy might all be faster than anybody on our defense. They have collapsed in the 4th qtr 5x now. Just not sure we can get to vick. I think 12-4 gets us either a 1 or 2 seed though. Just don't want that 3 seed.

Re: Next 7 Undefeated?

If Philly loses @ the Gmen you think those arrogant overpaid players will want to even try with a record of 3-7?

The fear of that game is strange, that team has no heart and will mail it in, Pats should win easily.

Re: Next 7 Undefeated?

Vick's got broken ribs, so it could well be a backup against the Patriots in that game.

Re: Next 7 Undefeated?

I said yes before last night. If course I still believe that.

Re: Next 7 Undefeated?

The schedule is soft but I don't think we should get ahead of ourselves. One game at a time, one win at a time.

Plus cromartie has a high ankle sprain.

Re: Next 7 Undefeated?

Update: Expect to see Palko (and probably Stanzi, after Palko stinks out the joint)....

Todd Haley said Chiefs QB Matt Cassel has a signficant hand injury that could end his season.

Hopefully they win out

Re: Next 7 Undefeated?

Another update, and one that impacts the Jets game on Thursday, as well as the future Patriots/Broncos matchup:

The Broncos believed Knowshon Moreno suffered a mild sprain of his knee on Sunday. It turned out to be much worse.

The team announced Monday that Moreno will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

Tebow is terrible, great college QB, but his career in the NFL will be a short one. Denver doesn't scare me at all. I could see us losing to PHI and either MIA or BUF at the end of the season.

Does 11-5 get win us the AFC East?

So it would be better if their last 7 games were against Chicago, Green Bay, New Orleans, Baltimore, Houston, Atlanta, and San Francisco?

I think so, maybe not that drastic but I wish we played more good teams late.

All this is going to do is get the Pats in at 13-3, heavy favorites, and then they will come out the bye pressing and trying to look cute, risking another playoff loss. Having the best record is cool, but all that pressure and overconfidence has killed us 2 of our last 3 runs.

We don't have to run the table to win the division.

Beat the Bills and the Dolphins and 4 out of the 5 others we win the division.

If we do that and...

Jets win all the rest of their games we beat them on the head to head tie breaker.

Bills win all games but us we would have the same record, tie on head to head and win on division record.

Tom Brady vs. the power of Tebowmania?

should be epic...

lol..That is hilarious! As much as I would love the Pats to win out, I would be happy with at most one more lost. No way they lose to the Bills, Miami,or KC. Its going to be either the Denver of Philly game with the Philly game being the one I'm more worried about.

the team should be at least 6-1 to close out the season. it helps that KC lost their QB, IND has Painter/Orlovsky, PHI is imploding, MIA is MIA, WAS has Grossman.

My preference is the Patriots go undefeated for the remainder of the season, then the 2012 playoffs.
