Patriots have the #1 defense (PPG) in the NFL

They had 9 points in 56 minutes and it's very unlikely they get the last 8 if the game was competitive. Hell Mingo was on the field.

This is why advanced stats and analysis beyond what actually happens on the field trying to extrapolate into some other game, situation, opponent, etc is hogwash.

There are many ways to defend in football. Nobody especially the patriots defend every opponent situation and circumstance the same way.
They got the job done AGAIN. This time a little differently than other times.

Statistically, the defense allowed 23 points against Baltimore but 14 of those points were due to fumbles in the red zone.

Other than that, this defense hasn't allowed more than 17 points in 9 games. However you slice it, they're really good.

Exactly. One of the over 17s was a garbage time td to buffalo. Aside from those 2 it's something like one of the last 16 that they allowed more than 17.

Falcons remind me a lot more of the Colts Peyton teams. Rams actually had a decent defense.

Pats will smoke falcons.

I think the Pats and the under are good bets, I agree with you first statement but I do think the Falcons offense is better than those Colts offenses

I'll go with 2013 Donkeys

I'll take that.

I am hearing that Atlanta does not have a wide national fanbase, so this matchup is the worst for those hoping to profit from tickets. In other words: might be sort of an away game for Atlanta.

I love how we're playing the undisputed #1 offense in the NFL (and really one of the best of all-time, statistically) for the whole thing, will destroy the "haven't played anyone good" narrative

If Jones gets a paper cut before the game, and the Falcons lose, you'll hear about it.

Curious to hear throughout the week what your take is on how to deal with their pass catching RBs. Despite their WR firepower our lack of pass covering LBs is my biggest concern.

I suspect we'll play a lot of man w/ 3 S's.

Double Sanu and JJ w/ S help over the top.

I'd rather have DMC or Chung play their backs then any of our backers.

Hit them at the los and disrupt timing just a lil bit.

We have 2 weeks to get Sheard, Long, Flowers, Brown, VV and Branch nice and healthy to Feast on Crows.

It's the SB every year there's a guy who steps up. Long? Sheard?

I disagree rob, they couldn't run the ball. This o line is better too
Compare 2013 Moreno/Ball to Freeman/Coleman

Virtually the same production.

ATL running game is good but it's not a threat. It's complimentary
