Patriots have the #1 defense (PPG) in the NFL

And if you go by my potential play off match ups.. I know this sounds unlikely but I believe to be true. The Patriots are going to play the Texans in the Divisional round and the Chiefs in the AFCC. I believe this defense will shut both of those offenses down.

I would like to avoid playing GB, or Seattle in the Super Bowl.

How do you propose they do that?

You can limit points without having a great defense, so points don't completely indicate how good a defense is playing.

???

Detractors will still look at the schedule and say who have they played? They played wilson and he shred their defense. They didn't play big ben.

I don't think it is. He's actually kind of right in my opinion. Atleast the first part of what he said before the comma I agree with

Nobody disputes the fact that other aspects of the game influence the score but the primary method of stopping opponents from scoring is clearly the defense. Marqui is just one of the draftnik trolls, like captain stone, Who really doesn't care about the team he just cares about ripping on Belichick for his draft choices and criticizing the team in whatever ways he can. Trolls suck, imo he's a troll.

Well Seattle's road to Houston got a lot tougher yesterday with that missed extra point and loss to Arizona. They are now the #3 seed which means ( if it stays) no bye and an away game in round 2. Considering that they are 2-4-1 on the road versus 7-1 at home with the 12th man...their chances of making the Super Bowl are a lot steeper...

They are overrated anyway

I know it sounds crazy but i rather see them if our team get's to the big game over team's like the giants or green bay.

PPG
1. Patriots
2. Seahawks
3. Giants
4. Cowboys
5. Broncos
6. Ravens
7. Chiefs
8. Steelers
9. Vikings
10. Lions

YPG
1. Texans
2. Broncos
3. Ravens
4. Vikings
5. Cardinals
6. Jaguars
7. Seahawks
8. Patriots
9. Steelers
10. Rams

Out of these two lists, which one looks more reflective of the actual best 10 defenses in the league?

I'll take the one that doesn't include the Texans and Jaguars...

If anything, this shows yards-per-game are more inflated (or deflated) by ****ty division offense, over representation in both the AFC/NFC South.

Ha, there is a chance that none of top 6 teams in ypg make the playoffs. Definitely speaks volumes

So who is playing all the great QBs?

Who is playing all the great teams?

Answer-No One!

We hear the same crap each and every season and the only way it goes away is if they suck. No matter who they beat, how good they play, or how good their record and numbers are we still get the Borges, Felger, CHB, Mazzerrotti bullsh.t about how they are just "beating tomato cans," it's old and tired as well as nauseating. They are 13-2, 7-0 on the road and have the top scoring defense and a top scoring offense, and their special teams are excellent. How the hell anyone can b.tch about this team is beyond me yet there are still the miserable few who who whine all season and then act like they were with them all the way if they win it all, but will excoriate them if they fall to a really good team in the playoffs or Super Bowl. It never ends, nothing will ever satisfy the Fellowship of the Miserable.

Seahawks fall to NFC's fourth seed with loss to Cardinals

Seattle's loss, which dropped it to 9-5-1 on the season, combined with the Atlanta Falcons' 33-16 victory over the Carolina Panthers earlier in the day, dropped Seattle out of the NFC's second playoff seed. If the Falcons (10-5) beat the New Orleans Saints at home on New Year's Day, the Seahawks will be forced to play in the NFL wild-card round on Jan. 7-8.

Woof!

Just as an aside, I never understood the logic of this. When you're in the Super Bowl, you're in the freaking Super Bowl. You don't have the luxury of "avoiding" a good team. Whomever you play in the Super Bowl did just as much if not more to get there than you did, so clearly they are a worthy opponent. (except the Broncos in 2013, but you know what I mean). As long as you get to the dance, doesn't matter how you dance....you were there.

Detractors will still look at the schedule and say who have they played?

Detractors don't have the GOAT QB, GOAT HC, great assistant coaches (including the GOAT assistant coach in Scar) to fall back on. Detractors sit on their ass behind a desk and a camera flapping their gums while the actual players play in the game.

Exactly. You can't "avoid" anyone in the playoffs, if they keep winning you get to play them, and people should look forward to it rather than worrying about it.
