Here comes the worst pass defense in the leauge. Because Chung can't even cover a scrub like Blair White. My guess is this is yet another unwarranted media speculation. Cut? Nevermind, I am wrong.

I'm less worried about his ability to cover people and more worried about his chances of staying healthy. Small sample size but results not encouraging.

If they didn't like Meriweather, why on earth did they cut Sanders, too?

Cause Bill didn't like either. One had lost a step and the other freestyles and regressed to much according to various reports all camp

Must be a move to come though......

Our position of strength 4-6 weeks ago has now been decimated. I am not understanding these moves at safety.

Very surprised that Meriweather could not warrant at least a mid-to-late rd pick...

Admittedly, it wouldn't be the first time BB completely bollixed a position (see: TE, 2009, where the Pats ended up with c*** at TE and a lost draft pick).

Whether you liked Meriweather or not, whether you wanted him to stay on the roster or not, I think we can all agree that this is disappointing.

Disappointing that he didn't play the way we would've liked him to (despite two Pro Bowl appearances), and disappointed that we couldn't get anything of value for him when we've gotten value from worse talents than him.
