Player Signing Patriots Claim 4 on Waivers

Well we were tied for the 2nd worst record in the league last season so if the shoe fits…

The reality is it’s gonna be rough for the next couple of years. We can’t fix everything in one off season/draft.

Us spoiled Pats fans are going to have to learn patience and that’ll be difficult, if not impossible, for some of the instant gratification posters we have on this forum.
When you have 100,000,0000 you can fix a lot.
We chose not to.

How did we get younger at DT? We don’t have any young developing players.
And we lost Barmore.

Nothing to lose by bringing Cook in and finding out. Plenty of RBs had bad years and bounced back, he’s young. Why wouldn’t we try? Are we afraid Jamichael Hardy wouldn’t have a spot?
All of our current DTs are way younger than Guy. Time will tell if they are better than Guy at this point in his career.

Cook is “meh”. He’s “3 yds and a cloud of dust” at this point in his career. He doesn’t offer anything more than Hasty or Jennings right now.

Keep beating that drum…
Should I just sit silently and be happy the team didn’t try to improve? Should I just get comfortable with losing more and Kraft getting richer?

Well, technically but there is no one in the front office that was there when bolden was picked.
Yeah, I didn’t mean for it to sound bad. Just the new guys are going to prioritize this year’s picks because they see more potential upside.

Would have been hilarious if NE had claimed 5 OL and that all of them were in the starting lineup vs Cincy.
Indeed, but I suspect that one of them will be starting (LT).

What you should do is give the new management more than 5 seconds to right the ship. Maybe you should also have a little discretion and foresight to understand that not everything is going to be fixed right away. Turning a franchise around is a process and not something you can solve by completely turning over your roster by swapping one 2nd/3rd string JAG for another. That doesn’t move the needle in setting up the team for long term success.

As far as Kraft goes, well, billionaires almost always continue to get richer. It is what it is…you and I don’t have any say in that. I know he loves the team so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

I believe Demontrey Jacobs was the only tackle claimed at all. Thomas (Pats from Rams) and Kingston (Carolina from SF) are both guards despite being listed on the transaction wire as tackles.

so it looks like reagor, bolden and hill/jordan (from reiss’s practice observations) are the 4 gone. Kinda bummed about Jordan, if sow cant go week 1 is leverett the LG ?

No, but do we have to get hit in the head with 100 times a day.

Surprised to see Jordan potentially be let go (if Reiss is correct) considering Sow's situation. Either Robinson fills in for him on the left, and Onwenu goes back to RG, or Leverett will be at guard, or they are confident that the new guy Thomas can start at guard pretty fast. Unless, of course, Sow is back for week 1. Still - the depth is a little questionable at the moment while things shake out. Seemed sensible to hold Jordan short term.

On the other hand, moving Robinson to left guard, Onwenu back to right guard, Okorafor back to right tackle, and getting Lowe back to left tackle might actually just be their best lineup anyway. Onwenu in the middle helps with interior pressure, and Robinson on the left helps with running the ball to the left.

Curious to see if Jacobs (or Wallace) can push Lowe or Okorafor at all as a few weeks pass. Thomas will be nice guard depth, though it ends up being a lot of guards with Sow, Robinson, Strange coming back, Leverett, and possibly Onwenu depending on what position he plays in addition to Thomas.

Jordan and Reagor don’t have to go through waivers. They can go on the PS and be elevated for week 1, unless of course a team is offering a week 1 spot (and therefore guaranteed salary for the year).

My guess would be Robinson goes in at LG and Onwenu goes back inside to RG. Wallace or Okorafor at RT. This is assuming Lowe is back as well at LT.

I doubt the new tackles will be ready to go week 1.
