Re: Thursday Practice: Perfect Attendance

That pisses me off.

What is inexplicable is WHY THE HELL WAS HE OUT THERE PLAYING IN THE END OF SEASON BUFFALO GAME?????

-It was merely one week after he pulled up lame and took himself out of the Baltimore game
-Conditions were cold and heavy rain - - awful conditions for playing on a pulled groin.

I LOVE this franchise, but their handling of injuiries is their (pardon the pun) Achilles Heel.

before i agree or disagree, can you or someone remind me whether they had the Division wrapped up and seeding determined before the game began? if they had the division in hand and the seeding was set, then i'd agree with you. otherwise, i think it was worth playing "all hands."

Re: Thursday Practice: Perfect Attendance

Just saw the Brady Presser Pics and he didn't look so good. My family is just coming out of a virus that is going around and lasted about 5 days, let's hope TFB and the pats don't have that.

Vince Wilfork would like a word with you, behind closed doors.

They needed to win to get the #2 seed and a bye week. If they'd lost, due to tiebreakers, they would have been the 4 seed playing KC in the wildcard round.

The division was in hand, the seeding was not set.

It was a cold, torrential downpour and he had to take himself out a game 7 days earlier for the groin.

Definitely a gamble for a home game against a 6-9 team playing out the string without its best receiver and a playing a 2nd string QB.

I wish they treated him like they treated Dennard (who looks pretty damned healthy right now).

It would have been FAR smarter to simply RUN the ball more than 22 times out of 76 plays in the second Miami game ("The Brady/McDaniels Brainfart Game"). Then, it would not have been an issue.

That's right. In effect that game was like the first round of the playoff because if they won it, they got to the second round. Since that was a more winnable game than most playoff games, I fully supported them going all out for the win.

Patriots AFC Championship Injury Report: Aaron Dobson, Kenbrell Thompkins Questionable | New England Patriots | NESN.com

Good signs: No other punter, and evidently practice was not enough to rule-out our WRs.

Re: AFC Championship injury report

If Dobson can go, I'll feel pretty good about this list. If Dobson AND Thompkins can go, I'll feel great. Hopefully both are at least available, even if not for huge snap numbers.

Re: AFC Championship injury report

sounds like Dobson should be good to go. he spoke with reporters today which is usually a good sign that a player is going to suit up.

Both making the trip so cautiously optimistic.

Re: AFC Championship injury report

Just let them take turns hobbling down the sideline to draw a CB. Anything more than that is gravy.

Re: AFC Championship injury report

. @jeffphowe: Team at full strength RT @mdaniels06: A Source told me that both Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins are traveling with the Patriots

They're ready!

Re: AFC Championship injury report

They're ready!

I hope so. I would like to see a little shotgun with Dobson and Kenbrell wide, with JE and AD in tight, with Hooman blocking.

Throw Denver off with all this "run game" talk. We still have Tom Brady people.

Re: AFC Championship injury report

Very happy to hear that AD might be playing. I'm just hoping it isn't the sort of thing where he aggravates the injury in the first quarter and is done just like happened w/Buffalo.

Re: AFC Championship injury report

do you think collie is game day scratch if both KT and AD are a go?

i would love for him to play...dude is hard working and if we want to run 5 wide sets imagine the donk defense trying to defend edels,DA,AD,KT,and collie :rocker:

No, we need collie. He is clutch with his catch or 2 in a game (knock on wood)

Re: AFC Championship injury report

I'm not convinced either Thompkins or Dobson will last the game (if they play). But it is good gamesmanship at a minimum.

But, it's not the first time (even today) that I'd be wrong.
