Hopefully this was not about my post. I am meh on this singing, and in the past will have said IBBWT.Some of these people aren't happy unless they sign the top 4-5 free agents. If they signed Pierce, Jalen Phillips. Tyler Linderbaum and Hendrickson, people here would complain they didn't sign Rasheed Walker.
It's is a meh signing. 100%. He's a body. He's got a slim chance to make the 53. I mean, bottom of the roster guys need to be signed. They can't all be stars.Hopefully this was not about my post. I am meh on this singing, and in the past will have said IBBWT.

We are moving on from Austin and probably Mapu. That's a lot of ST reps.Special teams DID seem to need overhauling
It’s fine, back of my mind it sounded more like a bit of frustration not an indictment.Hopefully this was not about my post. I am meh on this singing, and in the past will have said IBBWT.
But can he catch a pass? If so I know a few who will be happy to have him on the teamIt's is a meh signing. 100%. He's a body. He's got a slim chance to make the 53. I mean, bottom of the roster guys need to be signed. They can't all be stars.
Excellent pointHey, no one was excited about Tonga last year. Who knows.
What makes you think we'll move on from Mapu? Seemed to be a pretty good part of the STs IMO.We are moving on from Austin and probably Mapu. That's a lot of ST reps.
I think some fans don't think about the roster math.
They have 15 UFA/FA/ERFAs and most of them are bottom of the roster guys. They might bring back 1/2 of that. Maybe.
If they sign and draft players to fill those spots they still need ~20 or so players for the 90 man roster for camp. Of those 20 5 might make the active roster and the remaining 3/4 are cut or on PS.
Luketa is in that bucket.
I think a lot of fans in the offseason (for all teams in all sports) equate order of signing with priority or level of importance. Like if the first signing we make when free agency opens and our first move is some low level Tonga NT replacement people will flip tf out asking why that is our first priority. In reality, the team talks with probably dozens of agents about maybe one hundred different players at a time and they all have different timelines for signing. The order of signing often times has absolutely nothing to do with what the team is "prioritizing". It just simply means that particular player was ready to sign earlier than other targets at other positions. Some of these people aren't happy unless they sign the top 4-5 free agents. If they signed Pierce, Jalen Phillips. Tyler Linderbaum and Hendrickson, people here would complain they didn't sign Rasheed Walker.

just a guy doing his job defines at least third of the roster
BB very often found value vets who were undervalued by the rest of the league. But at least they were very good to great athletes who were undervalued because they were late round draft picks by their prior team, or even UDFA players who the Patriots had their eye on four years prior during the draft.just a guy doing his job defines at least third of the roster
The question is how well the jag's on the roster perform
Under bb, they performed very well indeed
