Patriots 2013 Playoff Situation

If the Ravens win their next two games, they win the AFC North.

So weirdly, both teams control their own destiny for the AFC North title. Since they play each other in week 17, they both can't go 2-0.

The Patriots are so banged up they really need the bye and they have to play a road game against a team that pretty much needs to win out to get in considering the Dolphins remaining schedule. Boyce would appear to be out so getting Dobson and/or Thomkins back is imperitive. If Solder can't go and considering it's concussions two weeks in a row I don't like their chances with plan B.

I could see this season being a first round loss. They just don't have enough fire power on offense, and their defense has totally declined due to injuries and a lack of depth. They haven't looked like the dominant team of the previous years at all this season. Brady has pretty much carried this team as well as anyone could. This team has fought extremely hard this season though. One of the toughest and most remarkable Patriots teams I've watched of this era. They just don't have the talent lining up on the field this year to beat some of the tougher playoff teams. It could happen. I won't totally count them out, but I just don't see them beating the Broncos in the playoffs or the Chiefs either. I see them having a very hard time with the Bengals as well. The Bengals have had two first round losses the last two years. They have more experience now and might be set up for a nice run. If the Pats had won out and achieved the first round bye and home field advantage, then I'd give them a great shot, but this season they were going to need the home field advantage more than any other season.

Agreed 100%. Just WAY too many injuries, no team can overcome that.

That being said, I predicted 10-6 or 11-5, just based on schedule, the lack of Gronk the first few games, the new receivers taking time to click, etc. Who knew they'd be able to accomplish what I predicted, despite losing so many KEY players. This is a team that will fight to the very end. This team has more heart and character than last year's team.

You can say that again this Team is not Healthy or Good enough to play 3 games in the Playoffs. I don't remember any Team Backing into a Bye Week. I will say this Cincinatti will win on Sunday no way that weak Vikings Team deafeat them! That means to hold that one game lead we MUST find a way to defeat the Ravens tall order but that assures us a Bye Week.
