84 people were murders and hundreds more injured at a Bastille Day Celebration last night. Included among the victims was a father and his 11 year old son from Texas.

Please take a moment and say a prayer for all the victims and their families..

Thought and prayers to the people of Iraq who were car bombed into oblivion few short weeks ago. Thoughts and prayers for the world. **** ISIS

Just a horrible story, my thoughts go out to the victims and their families. Been saying that a lot lately, unfortunately.

Just found out Sean Copeland was a VP of sales at a software company based in MA I used to work at. I didn't know him but a bunch of people I used to work with that were still there said he was a great guy.

The same company lost a software engineer who was on Flight 93 on 9/11.

Enough.

I am very sad. I am planning a Nice trip for my family in 2017...

Je ne sais pas pourquoi les gens cherchent à vous faire du tord, mes amis. Je pense à vous.

Best wishes & prayers to all victims and their families and friends

Sadly, there are too many of these threads.

Erie because just last year 2015, I stood precisely in 3 of the exact spots the Islamic Terrorists attacked, the Nice promenade, the entrance to Istanbul airport and the plaza in front of Hia Sophia in Istanbul.

Have you been contacted by the FBI yet?

I thought of that when I hit return

But hey who worries about the Feebs these days?

Damn, man, you couldn't keep the political comments in the thread that's in the PoFo? Why politicize this one too?

My kid's former teammate was in one of the Paris restaurants as it was under attack. Luckily, the attacker only fired at the patrons in the street view room.

What comments?
Just quoting some of the players on the world stage

-"5200" ...attacked during Ramadan.....ISIS' words
-"JV".......Obama's description ....instead of Islamic Terrorists
-"Intelligence Surge" ...Hillary's battle plan to defeat the JV.

"I feel safer already"....my quote

Sorry if this upsets the delicate sensibilities of those who choose to display their humanity on anonymous football message boards.

Maybe you can copy another cool chain email that one of your drunk and/or morbidly obese relatives, who was probably sitting at the computer in nothing but **** stained smeared tighty whiteys, sent you and get the thread off to a real awesome start.

I really don't care about you making a political statement. I agree with some of them. But it didn't seem like the OP created this thread with a political debate in mind. There was a thread for that down in the PoFo.

My daughter is a college student currently attending Sciences Po, the Political Science Institute of Paris.

She was, thank God, unaffected by the Paris attacks. Oddly, last fall she traveled to Istanbul, which has since been ravaged by multiple attacks. She just spent a week in Nice after classes ended, staying with a friend, but left a week or two ago. She had sent us pictures of herself taken pretty much at the very site of the truck attack.

Her freshman year has thus been spent dodging one deadly terrorist attack after another.

Needless to say, I'll be glad when her two years in France are up and she returns to the states to spend two years at Columbia U. (it's a joint 4 year program, Sciences Po-Columbia).

Condolences to all those affected by the Nice attack.....

They are all in my prayers and thoughts...

May all the victims of this tradgedy RIP

Third attack in France. This has to stop. Just please do not let a fourth attack occur there. So sad! RIP!

Anyone at all concerned about Turkey?

I was there just last fall. Americans are rare in Turkey compared to tourists from other countries. Wandered around Istanbul a couple days with no issues. Loved watching Turkish families touring the Sultans Palace with us donning old fashioned Sultan garb for family photos. Cute. Hate to think of these people suffering.

Without going too far down the politics rathole, back in the 1920s Ataturk brought Turkey into the modern world and established a more secular society. Today's guy Erdogan is trying to undo much of this.
Big example is the gorgeous Hia Sophia museum, which we toured. Once a Christian Church, it later became a Mosque and in Ataturk's reign it was made into a historical museum with Christian & Muslim heritage. Neat. Erdogan's camp wants it to go back into being a mosque...

While most of the world may look at Turkey with pity and sympathy, the citizens have shown what true power is through their solidarity and were able to prevent violence and uprising without a 2nd amendment.
