OT: Skippy Might Start Stid - EDIT Carr Benched, Stidham will start

If McDaniels starts Stidham over the final two weeks then he should be stripped of his head coaching status by the league. Both conferences can hate McDaniels for forfeiting games that several teams are watching closely. The 49ers could still jump ahead of the Vikings in the seeding which would absolutely doom the Vikings in the postseason (having to play @SFO instead). Kansas City travels to Vegas in week 18 and the outcome of that game likely will impact the AFC seeding at the top. I get it, Carr sucks right now, but starting Stidham is equivalent to forfeiting games.

If a coach said they were going start Mr Irrelevant at QB for the rest of the year would you consider him to be forfeiting games ?

Come on man, Raiders aren't beating SF or KC w/ or w/o Carr. Lol

Remember how excited we were when this happened. Signs of leadership. Good times.

Psst! The Pats traded Stidham and a future seventh round pick to the Raiders for a future sixth round pick. That is how much they loved Stidham. The Pats tried to get the Raiders to throw in a bag of footballs, but they balked at the price.
We traded Shaq Mason for a case of bud light and a bag of peanut butter pretzels.
Doesn’t mean it was a smart move.

I blame the system. Carr was great last season. What changed?
Differences between Carr and Mac last season:

1.5 differential in both passer rating and QBR
Carr also threw 1 more TD than Mac... in over 100 more attempts.

Carr was alright last year, an above avg QB, which he's pretty much been for a while. That's apparently his ceiling and that's more than fine... just not great.

We would be very happy with that kind of QB production we would have at least 2 more wins with the level of our defense.

Carr was great last season? Do please explain.
Just looked it up. TDs are the same. Yardage much less with 2 games to go.
Closer than I thought.

You were arguing that the Pats loved Stidham, not that they got value for him. Remember?

In all fairness, Carr's OL is pretty bad. Worse than the Pats by far. I thought some posters were saying Mac's ceiling was Carr. Is that a bad thing?

Did Shanahan have another option? No, he didn't. And SF is a powerhouse team that could beat most opponents with even Zach Wilson at quarterback.

Carr at least has the capacity to be competent, and even play well at times, Stidham isn't an NFL-caliber quarterback on his very best day.

It's not likely but Vegas with Carr could beat KC. Moron McDaniels went for 2 @KAN when he could have just tied the game with 4:27 left in the 4th. Assuming that game goes on as it did, the Raiders would have had the ball last in a tie game. KC also nearly lost at Houston two weeks ago so I don't think it's impossible they could lose @LVR.
