The Colts are going for it. People can say it's too much but I like the aggressive move. This season is wide open IMO and why can't they be the ones to make a real run and do something special.

astute observation... but putting him on a team that's in contention, that could motivate him... not saying it will... just that it could
Oh totally get it and it's a fair point.. he got paid in NY, and pretty much been on a losing team every since. Indy definitely is a contender.. but so are we.. I'm thinking Vrabel's in no way going to part with a first. Because I still feel by the end of the season Indy is going to really realize they need to draft a QB. JMO.

Good for the Colts. It also makes it clear the Colts are not in the market to draft a QB for two years. So they better hope Jones doesn't turn back into a pumpkin.

On the plus side the Jete will Jete up those picks

Wow, the Colts are really going for it. That will pose a problem for us this year, but they certainly did pay a hefty price.

I suppose the idea is that if this works out those first round picks may project to be late rounders.

Jets got the Jamal Adams deal again. Adams was the most overrated DB in the last 20's years.

Jets got more in both of these trades than when they traded Darrelle Revis and neither player was anywhere close to his caliber. The only thing the Jets do right is trading players.

We should be this aggressive

Not for TWO firsts and that contract -- especially with a Gonzalez payday coming.

Gardner arguably was New Jersey's best player. Apparently they're amassing draft capital for a quarterback to ruin while the defense gets worse.

Meanwhile, malcontent Sauce escapes the stank and lands in flyover country.

great deal for the jets. sauce is overrated

The Jets are in an excellent position to rebuild. They are in the running for the first overall pick, have strong current and future draft capital above and beyond their first pick, and have tons of future cap space.

...But somehow they'll find a way to still suck.

The is a good deal for both teams. Would I trade two firsts for Sauce? Not a chance, but if the Colt's window is open for a playoff run and Daniel Jones is playing out of his mind, I respect their wanting to pounce before Jones goes back to his former self. I believe he will. The Jets are in total rebuild now and need as many firsts as possible. They have to find a QB and this gives them the ammo to get whoever they want. Whether the get the picks right is a totally different story. The won't. lol.

Unless they find a quarterback none of it matters and that's sometimes totally out of your hands, there's years where there's just no one who can really play.

He's got Jete stank on him. It'll be interesting to see if that changes.
Probably will
Fraudgers looks better in Pitt
Darnold has been awesome

I am hearing that the Jets also got Adonai Mitchell too? Wow good for them. 2 first and a moody WR that has the perfect athletic profile, but hasn't done anything yet.

Another over pay IMO. Sadly so many teams are constantly in NOW mode a reasonable deal can't be had i think. The deal that might make sense at most as a 1st and a 3rd. And that is only because his deal is good and you have him for the next 3 years cheaply. However he isn't one of those true top guys IMO. i don't like to use so much capable on a lower/mid #1 CB. Even though it is a premium position at a very good value... I would feel better pay more a slightly more impactful guy.

Who's going to make the tackles?

This move SHOULD give the Pats a 90% chance at 2 more wins vs the NYJ (they had a great chance before but now Maye should have every option open).

he's a pumpkin dressed up nicely

When you think you have an opportunity to win a SB, you go for it. Don't blame them.

I do not think they will win a SB because Daniel Jonrs will most likely turn back into a not so good QB.

Wow. interesting news. Very risky for the Dolts or at best very expensive. Gardner has not been a premier shut down CB since 2023, but a worst he's above average. And who knows, getting out of that hell hole may cause a rebirth for him

Good deal for the Jets, even though those picks are likely going to be in the mid to late 20's. Seattle has a very sneaky good team in the NFC. Picks in that area are usually lumped into a group from about 14-45 of similar athletic ability. Though this year will be a deep draft and it "should" bring a good player to them.

I'm guess their embattled HC got a promise of at least 2 more years to turn that **** show around since they'll likely have a rookie QB and will have a tough time signing any of their FA's
