Eh, BB didn't want to let him go. The Patriots offered a nice contract to him. The Jets offered more. But it isn't like BB just cut bait with him immediately. There was interest there.
IN that case, count our blessings the Jets offered more.
So Revis rhetorically asks if the Rats want him to retire as a Rat or elsewhere?
What other team would he retire as?
Tampa Bay? I doubt they want to be reminded what he cost them and what he produced.
Anyone think BB would want him to retire as a Pat? Sure HD helped the Pats win a Superbowl, but it's not like the Pats hadn't done that, several times, already.
Do you think we win a SB without Browner or Revis in 14? I don't have a strong opinion, just curious.

They probably are, that time BB baited them into taking Vernon Gholston was too funny.Damn, this irony is too much to not comment on.
The best part is he's working on the assumption that the Jest are dumb enough to fall for it.
Hm? Revis got picked by the ref. Not on him.The last memory I have of Revis as a Pat is Baldwin beating him badly for the go ahead TD.
As for Browner, he was the only big DB we were able to match up to Matthews when he was destroying us, and his importance to Butler's game winning pick is well-known.
Of the two, you can make the case Browner was more important.
I think the Pats could have found better use for him than what the Jets are doing. The Jets are essentially still using him as if he's still Revis in his prime. The Pats didn't do that, for the most part, in 2014 and they wouldn't have done that in 2016 either. He either would have moved to the nickel corner position or maybe even safety. All that said, his contract would way too much given that role so the two sides parted ways. It worked out better for the Pats and hilariously bad for the Jets.
I know I'm a big Pats Homo but I think our CB2 and safeties have all played better than 2016 Revis
IDK. Although the SB wasn't Revis' finest game, he played very well for us in general the year he was here & certainly helped us get to the SB. I don't begrudge him anything and I am glad the Jets got him on the downslide (and still looking to be paid on the upslide) rather than us.The last memory I have of Revis as a Pat is Baldwin beating him badly for the go ahead TD.

Class works both ways.
The best part of that contract was that the Pats dropped out 24 hours earlier and Mevis and his agent kept negotiating with the Jets. Not much class involved with that maneuver.
