Anyone else notice that the PFT site uses a massive amount of mobile data lately? Is Florio using 4K video now or something?

Not a problem if you have unlimited data but I just read one story with only a few comments and 50MB used  I used over 5 gigs the other day of mobile data during my commute and most of that was PFT as I was browsing it a lot

Be careful going there if you are not on wifi and not unlimited!

Remember when PFT, or at least the comments section, was entertaining?
Florio has somehow managed to get duller than dirt and more preachy. Since the moderating was dumped into the laps of rotoworld interns posting in the comments has become an exercise in futility and they've become a never ending troll fest dominated by a few morons with bottomless sock puppet drawers.

On the plus side, it's kept Stephenson busy...or at least it did.

Porn sites load faster than Florio's, he has so much crap running in the background.

Plus, Florio's site these days is pretty much either A) a story on a breaking news item 20-30 minutes after it's been broken or B) Florio's hot take on said news item. It's not the mandatory viewing it used to be.

Wow Florio’s rotoworld interns give as much of a crap about proofreading as they do moderating. NFC?
——
Beyond the usual six games against NFC North rivals (Browns, Steelers, Bengals), the Ravens will host the Cowboys, Chiefs, Giants, Titans, and Jaguars. Baltimore will face the Patriots (if they win the NFC East), Eagles, Colts, Texans, and Washington on the road.

I will say, Mike's a good guy and cares about the user experience above all else. When NBC initially made the change a couple of years ago, he forced them to change it back because everyone hated it. They ultimately redesigned it and made it closer to how it was originally.

Wouldn't be a bad idea if you hit the contact page and passed these thoughts along. You'd be surprised, I'd be willing to bet he'll address them.

I go to sites like that to escape real world issues like politics.. He has gotten too preachy the last few years......

I hate to break it to you but I think if you attempted it you would be the one to get surprised and not in a good way. Their feedback link hasn't worked for the past couple of years. It's just there for show. It's a shame but it appears Florio stopped giving a damn about the 'user experience' some time ago

Yip, Florio does respond to E-mails. We got into an argument of semantics over one of his posts....I can't remember why, but I remember us agreeing to disagree, LOL.

Absolutely. He's another one who needs to shut up and dribble.

Florio is still the only well known writer/blogger to outright say the NFL railroaded Brady and call out their BS, and stick with his story. Plus his posts are filled with awesome little references to Seinfeld, The Office, etc. No idea why people don’t like the guy. Only problem I have with PFT is the existence of Chris Simms and the ultimate kiss ass Peter King, but I get what he’s doing, bringing in recognizable pundits (or in King’s case, a whale) to give the site more popularity.

That must have been some time ago, unfortunately those days are long gone. I invite you try that link at PFT again before you recommend it ;)

The years are all a blur for me now..

Positioning yourself as thee moral authority over a pro sport..... and be able to monetize it...
Impressive and cringeworthy

Peter King and Jason Whitlock have been elbowed aside
