The main takeaway is: they were right all along. The Patriots had no chance to win in 2020 or 2021 (ummm....?) so Brady wouldn't have made a lick of difference. Now those desperate Bucs are going to suffer for their pyrrhic victory because they've DESTROYED their cap and team chemistry forever while the Patriots are in an enviable position with all those young, cheap assets, draft picks galore, and their QB for the next 45 years.

The Patriots giving up the draft picks without fighting it was an admission of guilt. They left Brady to fight the charges on his own. After also being let go 2 years too early, I can understand if he felt that the Patriots didn't have his back.
