There's no comparison.
Manning is definitely ahead of Rodgers.
It's just I feel Manning deserved more than 2 SB titles. Man if the Colts don't botch that onside kick in the SB, Manning has st least 3 rings.
More than 2? He literally set low bar records in both 2006 (lowest QB rating in postseason for SB winning QB, lowest QB rating for SB MVP) and 2015 (lowest QB rating in regular season for SB winning QB.)
His passer ratings in Super Bowls:
81.1
88.5 (pick 6)
73.5 (pick 6)
56.6
He should be writing Thank You letters every day to Indianapolis and Denver for dragging his choking ass to undeserved rings.
As for the onside kick...that's utter BS. I can see if the defense allowed a TD after going ahead with little time left, or something like that, but one onside kick after halftime? The goalposts move for Manning apologists, so that the margin of error for his supporting cast becomes almost zero. Here's an example: in Super Bowl 49 against the Seahawks, Brady threw a TD pass to Gronk with 30 seconds before halfitme. The Seahawks got the ball and somehow drove all the way down the field for a TD as time expired, with numerous gaffes by the defense, resulting in a 14-14 tie. This is so much worse in the overall picture than merely allowing an onside kick.
**** happens. Manning got carried in two Super Bowls. In the one where the teams were evenly matched, and the team needed him, training 24-17, he threw a pick 6. He's a superstar, supposedly....one turnover/onside kick is unsurmountable now?
