OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Frankly, at this point, the Pats season would be a huge disappointment if they don't make it to the SB.
Sure, but I would also argue it's a big success if they win at least 1 playoff game with a rookie QB. We have no clue how he will do in the games that matter.

Bills D had only allowed 3 TDs all season to WRs. Fewest in the league. They allowed 2 in this game.

KC is playing incredibly well and Tennessee is going to get Henry back by the playoffs. No shame in losing to either of those teams.

I wouldn't call him a rookie anymore. He's already faced all kinds of adversities and has better numbers than a lot of veteran QBs. Sure, it's his rookie season but he was well prepared for the NFL. He's got the fire, the fight, the smarts, the accuracy. There’s really no excuses. The rest of the schedule is pretty easy aside from maybe the Indy game.

How effective will Henry be when he does return for Tennessee? I personally don't see him being as elusive! I could be wrong.

Let’s not allow that game winner to take the focus off this. What a ****ing laser. Evans is a ridiculous athlete.

Look at the pass rusher right there as he throws it.

henry isn’t elusive he is just big and fast. He will be fine for running back - a break is the best thing you can ask for.

if Henry, Julio (lol), Brown are all healthy they are my choice to take out the Chiefs

I couldn't agree more with you on that one! At full strength the Titans are probably the best team in the AFC! It's a coin flip between them and the Pats! The Thursday Night Football game between the Chargers and Chiefs will be huuuuge! I can't wait for that one as a football fan!

Seeing how Timmy is back, thought it was appropriate to quote this post from @Kontradiction that describes him perfectly.
Timmy is now Mortimer Porksley.
Damn I must of missed that beautiful text by Kontra. Poor poor Mortimer.

IMO the Pats win against Buffalo was more impressive. Our D consistently shut down their O through 4 quarters and didn't need OT. They got a fluke TD off a muffed punt, and Josh Allen was healthy vs us. Plus yesterday the Bills were missing Emmanuel Sanders through an important stretch and Star Lotoleli, both of whom played against NE.

I agree. It will be a disappointment if we don't get the 1 seed. The only team in the AFC that may be better than us is KC. If we lose to them it is a real bummer but not a disappointment. If we lose to any other of the crap AFC teams, it will be.

Brady's best pass of the game and great catch by Mike. Brady's lollipop too when Mike had not even broke to the sideline yet was also a thing of beauty. Brady did miss some passes in the game but there were stretches where he was a savant. His running was also a huge part of the game.

Depends on how you look at it. The Bucs weakness is their secondary so Brady and the O had to overcome that and put up 30+ when Allen got hot in the second half. The Pats weak link is Mac Jones so Bill minimized him and went with the run game. Both impressive wins but for different reasons. The only loser though - the Bills. lol

Well, Tampa almost pulled an Atlanta being up 24-3 at the half and almost losing. They scored a grand total of 3 points in the second half and a TD in OT. As always, Tampa relies on their talent to win and does very little in-game coaching/adjustments. Thus far this year, Tampa has had close wins against Dallas, NE, Indy, and Buffalo. At some point it's going to come back to haunt them unless they fix their defense.

On the flip, at some point Mac is going to have to be THE guy for the Pats to advance in the playoffs. We will see if Bill let's him.

If Pat's can get the bye, they have a really good chance to get to the SB.
If they don't get, it would be very tough for rookie QB to take them all the way. There will be times where Mac will have to win in a shoot-out.

Since Rodgers isn't going to sniff the SB MVP, he wants the regular season MVP

Brady still needs to keep playing good and winning.
