OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

It's hard to get the elite stats for defensive players with the dumb rule changes they implement year after year against the defense.

Opposite issue for QBs and WRs. Especially rule changes to try and make it easier for running QBs.

Does the HOF select a certain number of players per position? Otherwise, the majority of players going to the hall will be QBs and WRs.

This is one of the main reasons I will not be following the NFL after Brady retires. It is an abomination what they have done to the game with the rule changes that makes the passing game criminal. Well, except for Mac Jones. LOL
Rookie QBs in the Mac Jones mold are already rare.

Most new QBs don't stay in the pocket anymore and takesoff running around like a headless chicken on the 1st sign of pressure.

The NFL will keep on tweeking the rules favoring running QBs. In the future they will almost all be QB/RB hybrids, except that defensive players won't be able to hit them like a RB.

I wonder how long it will be before a QB is the league's rushing yard leader?
I'll be done with football. Brady and Gronk are the main reasons I'm still here.

I’ll also probably be done after Brady and Gronk are gone. it’s just so hard for me to enjoy games now.

I have enjoyed Mahomes and the Chiefs offense regression this season. was so tired of all the talk that he will be the no doubt goat

Bucs are in a great position to finish the season number one in scoring

lol Bills fans saying Brady has been prone to turnovers this year. I’m guessing they haven’t seen how those turnovers have happened. only 4 or 5 of the 10 picks are on him

Bills fans also celebrating the team, by losing, will avoid playing at home in the playoffs, where the cold weather hurts them. Lol

Thank you for posting. What an unbelievable achievement for Brady to win this at age 44. I really enjoyed the article. The author did a great job of understanding not only what drives Brady but what keeps him performing at such a high level while also elevating his teammates because of his approach with his attitude, listening skills, and joy of the game.

I found it interesting that Brady has close friends who are 20 years or more older than him. These appear to be more businessman than athletes. Brady seems intent on trying to understand what has made these men so successful for so long. I think he uniquely understands that his physical body is just one aspect of longevity even as an athlete. The mental aspect, the emotional aspect, and even the spiritual aspect are infinitely more important to sustained excellence and youthfulness of body and soul than any workout routine or diet.

Aaron Rodgers should really read this, actually he should probably study it. All of the things talked about in here beyond just football skill, Rogers possesses so little. In fact, I would say he's pretty much the opposite. He seems as though he gets very little joy out of the game and his immense talent is a burden.

The regression of the chiefs and mahomes has by far been my favorite storyline because it is linked to the beat down the Bucs and Brady gave them in the super bowl. It is reminiscent of the Seahawks falling apart after we beat them in super bowl 49.

Did you guys also catch in the story that when Brady was talking about the bucs versus the Patriots he said that with the bucs there are "more voices in the room."

It's interesting to me how many times Brady has mentioned this since he left and how stunning it is on many levels that Bill could not make the offense more collaborative with Brady so things could have extended at least another 5 years with Brady playing at an MVP level and Bill masterminding the defense.

I know it's water under the bridge now but when I hear Brady say this it is just incredibly painful that it couldn't happen here given all he accomplished and how great of a quarterback he is. Watching us only pass the ball three times on Monday night kind of reinforces this I think. Brady was looking for more and he deserved more.

Bills aren’t great on the interior on both lines. That’s a bad matchup with the Bucs. They can use the same run heavy approach that the Pats and colts used if they want to try and I think it will work well. Or Brady can pick their secondary apart with no Tre White.

Still some pundits that think Bucs don't need Brown. They don't realize that the offense with:

Evans, Godwin, Ronald Jones are good.
Add Fournette and they are very good.
Add Gronk and they are Elite.
Add AB and they are historic and unstoppable.

With AB, that is 5 top talents. There will always be 1 or 2 open on every play.

They're just in denial for the upcoming ass whipping TB12 is going to give them

LMAO Goff won NFC Player of the Week over Brady. This is why I keep saying that if the MVP is close Brady will not win it

Goff was a joke pick because the Lions finally won a game. I wouldn't read too much into that otherwise.

A win over Buffalo with 3 + touchdowns should all but seal the deal! I know Brady could give zero F#**s about that award anyways! LMAO!

OMG. I have just caught a case of Goff envy.

I checked his stats just now. 61% completion percentage is below average. Yeah it's because the Lions won but also an anyone but Brady situation. Brady could have won 3 or 4 more offense of the week awards.the.last couple years.

Yeah. That is my take too. Lions finally won a game and Goff did play pretty well. Everything I have read shows Brady has a sizable lead for MVP.

Bucs are 5-0 with AB in the line up. They most certainly need him. I don't see him getting cut at this point as it has been a week since his suspension.
