Bill is right on. One of the greatest coaches in NFL and maybe sports history bowing the knee to Brady, and quite honestly rightfully so.
Any DBs they signed would have gotten injured. It's just been that year.
Beyond that, what Tampa is missing is the CB1. Was there one available (serious question, because I can't remember off the top of my head)?
Yeah...I really think it did. And I'm glad.Nice to see Bill give the nod to Brady. I do wonder if their locker room conversation really smoothed things over after the week 4 game.

#Bucs coach Bruce Arians said Jamel Dean has no structural damage to his shoulder and it will be a pain tolerance situation.
#Bucs KR Jaleon Darden is in concussion protocol.
Bruce Arians said Carlton Davis had a real good week of practice last week and a good workout before the game and he's hoping he'll be able to go vs. Falcons
The people crying about the Colts not running the ball are ignoring four big realities of the game:
- The run wasn't working, at all, in the first half.
- The run wasn't working until after White was out of the game.
- The run wasn't working until Vea lost a Chicklet.
- The run wasn't working until Tampa "knew" that the Colts had to play catch up and pass the ball.
Wish they'd traded for Gilmore. Would have made so much sense for both teams. Trade a second round pick to the Patriot for Gilmore, let Barrett walk, sign a lower priced edge rusher in free agency who would provide 80% of what Barrett does (as a one dimensional rusher) for 25% of the cost. Instead, Patriots wound up with a pathetic return, Gilmore is wasted away in Carolina, and the Bucs won't even improve all that much with Davis, who is a solid cornerback but not a top tier one.
That's exactly why their stats were inflated because of that no risk it no biscuit mentally and Winston's hero ball playing style.I would not go that far. The Bucs in 2019 were 3rd in points and yards. They were one of the best offenses and most explosive but Winston was a turnover machine. OJ was very good/borderline elite before the Achilles. Fournette has probably been the biggest and best addition as I don't think any of us saw him being this dominate and versatile. Rojo is the perfect back to come in and pinch hit. But honestly, it is Brady that makes everything go and he was never going to play hero ball as much as Arians probably wanted so naturally guys like Evans will be more muted even though Evans is leading the team in yards and TDs.
Games in which John Taylor is under 100 yards rushing? The Colts are 0-6. Over? 6-0.
Reich put too much emphasis on the passing game yesterday. Had they won the ToP battle (by infusing another dozen or so rushing plays), they likely turn the ball over less (those four turnovers were all on passing plays). It likely cost them the game.
Bruce Arians offers injury updates on Bucs: He doubts Aaron Stinnie can go this week. Devin White will be limited this week, see what he can do for Sunday. Jamel Dean is a wait-and-see but doesn't have structural damage.
With a plus-3 showing in Sunday's win vs. Colts, Bucs move up and are tied for fifth in NFL in turnover margin now at plus-8. Their 23 takeaways rank fourth. Bucs had 25 total in all of the regular season last year on the way to winning a Super Bowl.
Godwin's and Evans stats are not that far off under Brady as they were under Winston. I know we are basically nit picking because we are closely watching every game but this offense is the top scoring offense. ALL the major issues on this team are from the defense which has been primarily due to injuries and scheme as a close second IMO.That's exactly why their stats were inflated because of that no risk it no biscuit mentally and Winston's hero ball playing style.
They are not quite as good in a ball control, rhythm, and timing offense that tries to minimize turnovers under Brady.
Turnovers are also more of a problem. There have been almost no interceptions or fumbles on throws to/carries by Gronk, AB, Fournette.
Barrett is 10th highest paid edge rusher and I think it's fair value for what he does.Wish they'd traded for Gilmore. Would have made so much sense for both teams. Trade a second round pick to the Patriot for Gilmore, let Barrett walk, sign a lower priced edge rusher in free agency who would provide 80% of what Barrett does (as a one dimensional rusher) for 25% of the cost. You'd think he would of said it if AB was a go but who knows with BA what's going on. He's like a mascot out there.Thanks. Wonder of AB plays
Turnovers are still higher than Brady is use to.Godwin's and Evans stats are not that far off under Brady as they were under Winston. I know we are basically nit picking because we are closely watching every game but this offense is the top scoring offense. ALL the major issues on this team are from the defense which has been primarily due to injuries and scheme as a close second IMO.

Yep. Evans is going to be for me what McDaniels is to Dropbydude. Those 2 guys are fantasy stat players. They are not clutch. If Evans makes it to the HOF and JE11 doesn't there is something wrong with the HOF. One gets results, the other is out there smiling and running go routes against **** opponents.Turnovers are still higher then Brady is use to.
Fournette has improved that by taking most of the touches at the RB position away from Rojo.
But Godwin has had a lot of fumbles.
Interceptions when throwing to Godwin/Evans.
Games where Brady is passing to Evans and he is not looking or expecting the ball.
Is it a coincidence that they have not been featured as heavily lately?
Unless he was on the field with a helmet and pads on "he" did no such thing.LOL He isn’t ”bowing the knee” to Brady…if he did he wouldn’t have held him to 50% completions, 0 TDs, and 269 yards in week 4
