OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Bucs announce they're activating CB Sean Murphy-Bunting and long-snapper Zach Triner off injured reserve to the active roster. WR Breshad Perriman will be elevated from the practice squad for tonight's game. Scotty Miller stays on IR for another day or so.

Triner just returned to practice this week, and if he feels comfortable snapping, he's ready to return. He tore a tendon in ring finger on his non-snapping hand, was originally seen as a 10-to-12-week injury, and he's back after 10 weeks.

Yes, Sean Murphy-Bunting will dress and play for Bucs tonight vs. Giants. Good week of practice getting comfortable as he returns from elbow injury. Curious to see how much he plays in first game in 10 weeks.

Perriman had two snaps last week. He could get more tonight, but he’s the fifth WR. Evans, Godwin, Johnson will get most of the snaps and targets. Gronk back as well. Perriman and Darden could get a target or two but not much more.

Miller wasn't activated off injured reserve for tonight's game. He has to be on the 53 by Tuesday, so they'll likely do that and he'll probably take Carson Tinker's roster spot and he gets an extra week to get healthy.

The league is conducting a review?

The NFL said last week that it would be investigating Antonio Brown’s alleged fake vaccine card. His former chef Steven Ruiz tells me that, as of this afternoon, the NFL has yet to reach out to him.

No. Teams were responsible for vetting vaccine cards turned in this summer. They were instructed on how to scrutinize the cards. The NFL is investigating this particular allegation. The league office told me it’s the only allegation they’ve received at this time.

Tommy looks more interested today that’s for sure

Good win. #3 seed but tied record wise with Pack. We'll see how injured Rodgers is this week.

The Bucs have a tough game this week, too, going on the road against the Colts.

Gronk is back and all is well with the Bucs. Brady better be ready to beg Gronk to play again next season.

Gronk with 71 yards has leaped over Kelce and Olsen to be 5th in receptions all time for TEs.

And with 8739 yards, he has jumped from 83 to 78 in career receiving yards.

Brate: 6 targets, 27 yards…multiple drive killing drops again.

Unless this guy is adding something in the run game, which I don’t think he is, they need to stop throwing to this clown as a main target. He’s the main reason drives are stalling and efficiency is down. Dreadfully bad player in 2021.

I think Howard's return from the Achilles is still a work in progress, so he's not being targeted in the passing game, and I think that's been a big issue with the TE spot.

From Elias: Steve McLendon (35) is the second-oldest player in NFL history at the time of his first career interception. Only Trace Armstrong (37) was older.

Good win for the BUCs and Brady’s MVP - offense need to finish off drives better next week though!

I really hope he gets his 4th MVP and All Pro.

His odds have dropped dramatically given Allen is playing like crap and Murray is injured.

Rodgers is his threat but I think if Brady throws for more TD and Yards with similar wins even though he will have more INT - he wins it

They need to keep including Brate as he is the 2nd best TE in the team whom they need when they run 2 TE sets and when Gronk is out taking a breather.

I agree that Brate has been playing like garbage but he has always been a sure handed receiver until this year. So I think he'll revert more to his historical mean.

If Brady keeps his pace minus the Mickey Mouse interceptions he wins MVP
