OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Btw 49ers just beat yesterday’s record for longest TD drive of the season against the mighty Rams.

Even since Tom made those comments about defenses he's been getting intercepted every week .
Yeah it seems they figured out to just hit the guy who catches it and it will pop out. He will be fine. Its amazing how the media trashes them when they have a couple games they laid an egg, but bills losing to the jags without scoring a td is fine, and so is all the other teams who lost to bad teams. The NFL media is week to week. One week you are going nowhere next week you are best in the league. I would like someone to show me this unblemished team this year, I cant find it.

He’s 6 TDs and 4 ints in his last two game and one was objectively not his fault because the receiver fumbled the ball. He’s had far worse stretches.

Seems like every freakin ball that’s possible to intercept gets intercepted. 3 of his 7 picks are complete jokes. Two dump off passes right into RBs arms and a hail mary.

Stafford is not having a good night either. Most of the top QBs have had off days or have been out the last 2 weeks.

Brady didn't even play that bad yesterday. He only had that one miss to Evans. The 1st INT was a fumble and there were about 5 drops.

The real issue was the defense. They just couldn't get off the field and Brady barely had any chances to score. Whenever the offense scored, the D would just give it back up again and also burn 5-10 minutes off the clock.

Still not as bad as the Bucs D as there should have been an urgency as it was at the end of the game. Pretty much took up the whole 4th quarter for goodness sake.

The Rams allowed it in the 1st quarter, so a lot of football left to play.

With many of the top QBs struggling or not playing the last couple weeks, the MVP race is turning into a turtle race.

JG having a good game. 49rs were really dumb to give up draft picks to get Lance. They should have just stayed where they were and picked the best available QB. Was their original draft slot before the Patriots? They probably could have had one of Fields, Mac, or Lance by just staying put.

So perplexing

Looks like they're allowing it in the 2nd,3rd and 4th quarter as well!

This ^

They were something like 20-8 with Jimmy and 5-25 without him. If he’s healthy, he can win with Shanahan. If he’s not healthy, you just got a great insurance policy/replacement. So baffled as to how they blew their entire franchise up after being in a favorable draft position due to QB injury.

Lance was never considered to be a generational prospect. There’s a raw, “untapped” talent like that almost every year.

3 out of the last 6 times Brady lost two games in a row his team made the super bowl that year. Two other two times they made it to the AFCCG.

Half joking but see, Brady's been to 10 Superbowls so one can probably make a lot of stats to say X happened and then Brady went to a Superbowl. Just saying.

.

Cowboys could drop another game vs the Chiefs

Rams just lost and look like frauds

GreenBay still do not convince me but they do keep winning.

The #1 seed may just be the Bucs or Greenbay in the end

Bucs crucially have the head to head tie breaker over the Cowboys. They don’t against the Packers or Cardinals unfortunately because it would be conference record and Bucs have dropped 3 conference games.

Packers have to drop two games which is possible they still have two games vs the Vikings (divisional games always tough), Rams, Ravens and if Chubb is playing the Browns. The Cardinals go depending on how healthy Murray is which so far he's proving he can't be healthy for a whole season.

It’s pretty simple: if the Bucs win out, they’ll probably (but not definitely) get the #1 seed. If they lose another game, they won’t. Vegas odds looking now like a complete 5 team crapshoot to win the NFC.

The Packers have been winning every close game for three years now. They’re 13-4 in games decided by a possession. They’re not a dominant team, but they don’t beat themselves and take care of business against bad teams. Their division is also a ****ing clown show and has been for years. They’re not losing to the Browns or Vikings or some loser pretender team like that. I think they’ll lose to the Ravens. Beyond that, I don’t know…possibly the Rams. Could be their third straight season going 13/14 and 3.

Anyway, I think the WFT loss changes everything for Tampa Bay. Could have survived it if they’d beaten the Saints, but they’ve really screwed themselves. What gets me if the outstanding pass protection and run blocking they’ve had but have still faltered.

I think now they’re better off resting and rehabbing their players for the postseason, hope they’ll get some tomato can in round one, and go from there. I still think they’ll win 12 games or so, but I think they should be extremely cautious with injuries and wear and tear. Limited pitch counts for Gronk, AB, Vea, and the CBs until the playoffs.

I agree mostly except the Browns part. Brownies are a totally different team when Chubb is playing.
