OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

The NFC as a conference is thought to be more “open” in recent history because no team has consistently won the conference. In the AFC, there’s more of a dynastic trend with the Patriots, Chiefs, and to some degree Steelers. But if you look at the reality, it’s mainly due to postseason failures and not overall team strength. The Packers and Saints, after winning the SB in 2010 and 2009, have since combined to make the postseason 15 with 11 appearances in the divisional round. The Packers have 3 conference championship game appearances.

So there really is an old guard here, though the Saints may have just reached the end of their run. The Seahawks have been a consistent contender since 2012 as well.
It is interesting. Rodgers and Brees' teams have been inconsistent which is unusual given both are HoF QBs. There does seem to be an upset or upstart in the NFC much more often for some reason. Seattle I think is coming to its end too. They were abysmal yesterday on offense. I wonder if Wilson makes a push to be traded at season's end. Rodgers is most likely also done in GB so the NFC is doing to have a big shake up in terms of legacy type QBs with really only Brady as the old guard.

Buccaneers cornerback Richard Sherman suffered a calf strain during pregame warmups of Sunday’s matchup with Washington. It’s serious enough that he’s likely to miss multiple weeks.

“I doubt seriously if he’ll be back anytime soon,” head coach Bruce Arians said in his Monday press conference.

After signing with the Buccaneers in late September, Sherman has appeared in three games for the Buccaneers. He had been out since suffering a hamstring injury in Week Six, but was off the injury report for Sunday.

For those who could watch the game was Brady 2019 sidelines sulking Brady or just fired up pissed off Brady?

Perception doesn't match reality with the idea the NFC South is a bad division. The AFC North is supposedly a really competitive division. Even the NFC West has fallen flat besides the top 2 teams. The Wilson injury is a factor, but the Seahawks are a disappointment even when he's healthy.

Well to be fair in 2019 Brady started off as fire up pissed off Brady but then in the Houston game he seemed to just give up with all that as he saw Watson do to the defense exactly what Jackson had done two weeks earlier.

On a patriots board? I can ask you the same question...
I mean this is the subforum for all things Brady. It got moved from the main thread to keep the two separate. A lot of us still root for the guy and want him to do well with exception of week 4 and a potential Superbowl matchup???

At this point you should hope the Bucs (or any NFC powerhouse) miss the playoffs since it would mean the Pats wouldn't have to face them in the SB if we get there...

I don't think it was just the roster that year. When he didn't get the extension after helping to deliver Kraft/Bill their 6th ring, it effected him along with the roster and the strained relationship with Bill after 20 years together.

He was very frustrated/firery last year if you watch his tirade during the Chicago game. He has always been over the top competitive since his first year. It's his best quality IMO.

I don’t know why you went into detail for him he’s the one that *****ed to get it moved here than comes in here to complain so more

Weak sauce from a wussy.

I would rather the Patriots beat the best.

Please. If you go to the main board you'll see how happy ppl are that the Pats don't have to face Derrick Henry in a couple weeks...I didn't see one person, including you, say you'd rather beat the Titans with Henry playing. I'll take what I can get
