OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Horrible loss

Bucs are in trouble. Injuries are wrecking them.

The Bucs are a disaster and Brady still looks like he’d rather be anywhere else all game long.

Bucs fortunate Saints lost.

Favored by 10 only to lose by 10. Inexcusable. Coming out of the bye their schedule was super easy and this was supposed to be among the easiest. No game, at least on the road, can be taken for granted anymore. At home they’ll probably take care of business. At Falcons and Jets will PROBABLY be fine. But at Indy and at Carolina? I wouldn’t expect an easy time at all.

It would be brutal to be 4 seed and get Rams first game

Injuries starting to become a problem. That was always the only thing that could get in the way of a Bucs repeat.

14-3 CAN still get the 1 seed. But I doubt it. Frankly it might only be good for the 2 seed if the Packers lose 4 games because the Bucs will lose the conference record tie breaker against them.

Obviously they need to play it out and maybe they’ll get some fortunate bounces but honestly I bet by week 18 they’ll be locked into the 3 seed and so they’ll just create their own bye week and sit everyone in a meaningless final game to try and preserve health.

Couldn't watch so taking it at your word but that's how Tom looked last week. Something is wrong. He is not enjoying playing.

He’s losing and both injuries and the average coaching are taking their toll. Losing isn’t fun, especially when you’re the GOAT and 45. There’s plenty of time to turn it around though.

Don’t be mean, he’s only 44.

Cards and Packers losing today would be either a tragic missed opportunity or conversely a huge bailout depending on how you want to look at it.

I think a lot of is down to seeing that repeating this season is starting to look unlikely. Last season you could argue that the Brady was learning the offense etc. but this season the offense is inconsistent and seemingly can't do anything at times. And the defense can't be trusted to stop anyone which Brady must have realized too. Obviously the injuries on both sides of the ball haven't helped but they are incredibly undisciplined, making mistakes (dropping balls, Brady throwing picks himself), missing tackles. It's just bad.

Could they still win the Super Bowl? Sure, I think so. Assuming they get much healthier and actually stop beating themselves but after games like this it looks more and more unlikely.

Even with the injuries, this is now consecutive losses against teams that he no business of being within 2 touchdowns of them.

The Washington drive of 19 plays, 10:26 is the longest against the Bucs in at least 20 years.
@pfref data only goes back to 2001.

Washington's touchdown drive is the longest in the NFL this season by drive time -- 10:26 off the clock -- and the 19 plays matches the most of any drive this season.

Completely embarrassing.

The Saints loss can at least be excused from the Super Dome being a house of horrors for the Bucs and Brady. This loss was far worse.
