It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I think it was the correct call (one of the few), even though it’s not really why the rule exists. It exists because players would get pulled from behind with no idea it was coming, whereas in this case Winston sort of forced White to grab the back of his jersey when trying to go past him. I don’t recall many horse collars that were (a) the result of the offensive player making a juke move, (b) approaching from the front/side and not from behind, and (c) a grab of the jersey and not the collar.
However, the tackle still does qualify as a penalty under the rules.
A. He does grab Winston’s jersey at the name plate…you can see his hand on the name.
B. He does pull Winston towards the ground.
C. Winston, while a QB, is outside the pocket and tackle box.
I've thought about it, and I think the dynamics would be fascinating, but how would they make room for him, this year? It would,, possibly, work if it was a situation where he'd accept being a deep bench guy this year, and then replace Godwin next year, on the cheap, but I don't see him doing that. Do you?I wonder if OBJ ends up in Tampa. He loves Brady. Has said in the past he wants to play with him.

OBJ busted out of the gates his first 3 years, but hasn't been anything special since. Plus he has missed a lot of games due to injuries.I could see him replacing AB, who will be 34 next year and continues to pile up mileage injuries.
Chiefs and Saints make sense if he clears waivers. I doubt either team can pay him the 8mil he's owed. How do waivers work? Do they have to clear room for him before he's claimed? How long do they have to do so? Can they restructure with him or do they need to release a vet, sign him, restructure and then resign that vet.
I think it's a stretch for sure. That's an interesting scenario you laid out. I think it is more likely he replaced AB. I think much depends on Brady and that receiver room. For OBJ, I think it could revive his career which has been tanking.I've thought about it, and I think the dynamics would be fascinating, but how would they make room for him, this year? Poor Brees. His only significance was his records. lolMOST GAMES WITH THREE-OR-MORE PASSING TOUCHDOWNS – NFL HISTORY
Rank Player Yards
1. Tom Brady 98
2. Drew Brees 97
3. Peyton Manning 93
4. Aaron Rodgers 77
5. Brett Favre 72

4. Aaron Rodgers 31
5. Brett Favre 23
Well at least in NO, Brady took away more records from Brees.
He also added a new different receiver in Cyril Grayson who caught a TD.
What significant record is next for Brady?
I can see Rodgers eventually passing Brady on those records.MOST GAMES WITH THREE-OR-MORE PASSING TOUCHDOWNS – NFL HISTORY

I see Rodgers as a wild card because he is mentally unstable. I mean would it surprise you if he retired at the end of this season? I wouldn't be.I can see Rodgers eventually passing Brady on those records.
Rodgers is not a young guy either. He is 38 this year.I see Rodgers as a wild card because he is mentally unstable. I mean would it surprise you if he retired at the end of this season? I wouldn't be.
If he does actually continue to play and play at a high level and lands in a good situation after this year, then maybe he has a chance. Much also depends on how long Brady keeps playing. There has already been talk of another extension at season's end. I believe Brady himself said already he wants to play next year and the year after so if that happens and Tampa remains stacked which there is no reason to believe Licht won't continue to go all in as long as Brady is there, it will be every difficult for Rodgers to catch him IMO.
Nah. As Brady will keep adding to it. He already has 5 games of 4 or more TDs.I can see Rodgers eventually passing Brady on those records.
He is also a mobile guy who does throw off platform a lot. None of that suggests high performance into the 40s. He could of course but the odds are stacked high and much depends if he leaves GB. IMO, he is in the perfect situation in GB with LaFleur, that crap division, a team that is not asking him to fling the ball around anymore. To leave that and go to the AFC brings in a lot of unfavorable factors for him.Rodgers is not a young guy either. He is 38 this year.
I agree that he could retire anytime and Brady might outlast him. Even if he ends up playing until 42 like Brees, we all saw the drop off.
