Brady and the Bucs are in the process of forming the first outright super team since the 2013 Broncos (yes I remember how that ended for them) and meanwhile we’re probably gonna have another year of the Cam experience.

And the closest we have today to that 2013 Seahawks defense that stopped that team - is the Bucs. LOL 14-2 assuming a 16 game schedule is very doable for them.

The Bucs on paper should beat us by 30. Hopefully Belichick can coach up some magic and get some talent here to give them a game.

There's also alot of revisionist history going on that an offense with leonard fournette, Gronkowski, mike evans, godwin, antonio brown and a defense with Suh, JPP is not ridiculously talented because they were 7-9 the prior year. It's like a madden all pro team from 2018.

I'm not sure how much better their roster can get. Maybe add a pass catching running back. But I think the offense can get better with a full offseason with the same guys

To be honest, they were a nothing franchise for their entire history except the two years they won the SB. Mortgaging the future is not something they should be afraid off right now. Winning another one with Brady would do wonders for the organization and its standing within the sports world.

2002 was all about their defense, it is not very glamorous. Winning with the GOAT is and could help them attract players even after he is gone. Being perceived as a quality organization and a desirable location.

The Bucs rank 32nd all-time out of all the current NYFL teams. Going into this year they were at .385 with 31st place Arizona at .435.

One could argue the 2020 Bucs talent-wise should be in the discussion as having been as talented as the 2004 or 2007 Patriots.

The one thing I'm interested in is... was there a reason besides talent as to why the Patriots from 2001-2019 always played in close super bowls? Was it because Belichick didn't prioritize an elite pass rush? Was it because we were too conservative in our offensive approach to begin the big games?

One of the reasons we were on the wrong end of some SB losses was because our pass rush couldnt get home to Eli or Foles.

The Bucs have shown that they are one of the best at TE with Gronk and Brate, and they might see Hudson as a Brate replacement down the road. So OJ is a luxury they can afford to trade away.

I would love it if the Pats trade for him. I don't think they will cause it might take a 2nd round pick.

But if they do, they can structure a long term contract similar to Gronks 6 year below market contract since he has Gronks potential but also has trouble with injuries.

Before the season, the detractors weren't totally out to left field as a lot of the key players had something to prove. It was all about potential and when that potential was realized after their bye, it was then they became absolute monsters.

Brady just came from one of his worst season in 2019. Was it him or was it the team?

Fournette got cut even though he was a number 4 pick and still young. He was mehh until the playoff. But I tell you, for the playoffs I was absolutely drooling over the guy. I hope they make a serious offer for him, but something tells me he will get 24 million for 3 years. Might be too rich.

Gronk looked done in 2018. So he needed a year of rest and healing, again no guarantees that would have brought back peak Gronk, but by the SB it was very close.

Evans seems a little sloppy. I think he is still a work in progress in that Brady will take him to the next level. He mentioned the other day about Brady working with him to make him better.

AB needs the money cause I think he spent it all LoL. So that is part of his motivation and probably stats to ensure he gets in the HOF. He just needed Brady to get back on track.

Godwin. It's just an embarrassment of riches. I think AB, Miller, Gronk, Brate, Johnson need more passes thrown their way. Godwin walks, problem solved, and money available to sign some of their other key players.

Suh was good when Vita was out. But when Vita came back, he was a beast. He was terrifying in the SB. They need to keep him and he'll be cheap for a DL of his caliber due to his age at around 8million.

As bad as that team's offensive skill positions were for much of the season, and as bad as the OL become due to injuries, Brady and the defense had that team 10-1 before those OL and WR/TE woes finally killed the team. And if you're too busy peering at stats to know that Brady was carrying that offense to heights it had no business reaching, that's on you. Hell, as far as stats go, even with that garbage all around him, he still ended up with a 24:8 TD:INT total.
