That was AJ Feeley, I believe. That game was also the beginning of the end of the aura of invincibility. And after the narrowest of escapes at Baltimore the following week, not only did well-coached, physical teams no longer fear us, they couldn't wait to get a piece of us.
But I digress. As for McPuke, it would've been nice if Reid could've received more in return for him (I'm surprised that Arizona didn't offer their 1st-rounder, even-up), but the bottom line remains the same: McPuke is a choke artist (literally) who will never, ever lead his team to a championship unless he has a league-leading defense + a league-leading running game to carry his sensitive ass.
Will McPuke help make the Skins a better team this year? Probably.
Will he make them a PO team? Maybe.
Will this season end for him the same way every other season has ended for him? Book it.
Many of you folks underestimate the Philly football fans. Like those of us in NE, they can sniff-out a phony, and that's what McPuke was (is): a phony championship-level QB, a passive-aggressive who's always felt that Eagles fans owed him their unquestioned adulation to make up for the rude reception he was given on Draft Day 1999. They share another noble trait with us, too: they absolutely despise New York teams. Remember: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
