OT: Jags @ Steelers Game Thread

Well let's see what the Berger can do? I think he has one more pic in him.

I want Jax. If they win they'll be playing their 3rd road game in a row... Plus they're chokers in the playoffs.

Maybe it would've been better had we lost to the Giants. Oh, the PRESSURE of going undefeated. :singing:

I'd be willing to bet there are still people here who wish we had dropped a game so we'd be less......conspicuous? Who even knows anymore.

I am currently half-way around the world. Would appreciate a feedback on this: Did Big Ben try to run much? Would he have been successful if he tried it during those 2 pt conversion attempts?

Thanks!

I thought he should have tried to run more. He tried to run for 2 pt conv from about 14 yards away (after the bogus holding call) but, never once tried from feet away.

It's also pretty obvious a high powered passing attack can move the ball on them, but you can pass on the Steelers, too.

all i can say is i can feel for the jags fans for a stupid PI call playing a major factor in the game.

don't get me wrong they had their opportunities. but much like the pats, one big play can kill or continue momentum.

At this point I can’t see a difference between them. It’s like watching identical twins fight

Yeah that was 4th down too, right??? Friggin' joke. Ward pulled the defender into himself by the mask - that's why they called the PI. Terrible.

ill still take the jags...just for the hype

Oh my god, what an abomination.

um a QB draw? On 3rd down....why not give it to your RB.

I'm sorry, are you referring to the Hines Ward play in the end zone? If so, that was not, by any stretch, an egregious call.

OK, who called that ridiculous run play with Ben Rothlesberger?

I would still prefer the Steelers. Not buying any emotional wave argument, they may be exploiting the Jaguars choking but any pro team could do that. The Steelers on the other hand have offensive line issues, special teams issues, running back issues, some banged up players, an inexperienced coach..

wha?????

the QB draw???

WTF...are these guys on crack?

let's just say the jags are shafted. it's like tom brady with reche at wr with 1:30 left.

Wow these teams really do suck.

Jags are gonna get one more chance against this inconsistent Steeler D.

I have to agree. First, everyone wants Pitt. Then Pitt comes back and no one wants Pitt. Newsflash: one team has to win, and the game can't always be like the SD/Colts one from earlier in the year.

I absolutely loathe the whole "emotion" argument. Emotion is not a very sound gameplan. Perhaps it comes from watching all these BB teams over the years, but it's about solid execution, not emotional waves.

Emotion and hype are a part of reality.

Belichick does not operate in reality. Unless someone is disrespecting him and more importantly, his team.

He operates in winning football games.

blocking behind the back dont really get called alot on punts do they?
