OT: Jags @ Steelers Game Thread

if any one on this forum is nervous to play the jags u shouldnt be..all they got is a pretty good running game but no way in hell they can keep up with brady's offense..NE has so many weapons that it should be like target practice for terrific tom haha

Man, I was rooting for the Steelers (tough to do, but I know we would crush em). What sorry team, pretty embarrassing. I think Pittsburgh lost this game a couple of weeks ago. All psychological, they knew that they couldn't beat the Jags a few weeks ago, and they knew beforehand that they can't now. Pathetic. They were doomed once they had all of those injuries. Their vaunted running game disappeared after Willie Parker and those OLinemen went down.

NO HUDDLE is the best way to beat that Jaguar Defense. They are BIG but SLOW. Attack them and make them work. They should have done that sooner.

Pittsburgh looks just terrible. They were seriously overrated this year and now, saddled by injuries, look every bit the one and done team I suspected they'd be.

The question is, is Jacksonville really this good? Two chances to beat the Colts this year and couldn't get it done.

I remember the last Jags playoff game. While Brady was great vs the Jags, Belichick owned them

The Jags offense did nothing tonight. Jones Drew must be shut down.

Let's not count our chickens. Jacksonville has a very good defense, and as a team, they are playing great. They are a very tough physical team.

I bet Bill is watching & studying this game as we speak.

BB said in an interview or PC this week that you can't really tell anything from watching on TV so he may not even watch.

I think we will spread em out. We won't try to run up the middle against their interior d much - until the second half when they're tired of chasing us down the field.

I am concerned about our lb's against their running game though.

It is a shame Ben Rothlesberger has won a SB. Too many great QBs have had their careers blemished by the lack of a SB victory. He already has one and will forever be considered 'one of the best in the NFL' for the rest of his playing years.

Yes they are and so are our Patriots. By all means give the Jaguars their props, but lets not act like our team can't play with the big boys. When the competition gets tougher our TEAM gets TOUGHER.

Jesus, could more stuff have been open? And he takes a sack?????

I really don't see were the Jags look all that good. How many gift can the Steelers give them and most wasn't from great defense more from Steeler brain farts.

Well, that's a good point. This is a battered Steeler team that is making a lot of mistakes. I don't think Pittsburgh ever thought they were really going to win this game with anything other than some kind of divine intervention.

I don'y think anyone looks at Trent Dilfer as one of the best.

There were about 3 or 4 guys open on that play and he gets dragged down by the shirt.

-_-

Never saw that before. If that other player wasn't behind him, the defender may have gone 5 yards in the air.

We drafted the other guy LOL!! (Dexter Reid).

The Steelers don't look like a playoff team... Their offense sucks big time...Forget Ben... They are not able to run the ball at all

Well, they already got their 2007 version of the Immaculate Reception (ball tipped by Heath Miller to Hines Ward) so I guess even divine intervention isn't going to save them this time.

I feel kind of bad for Ben...he just keeps getting exposed every year. Yeah, he's got a great winning percentage, but in these big games he just doesn't seem to show up at all. Even back in his rookie year, I remember him almost handing the game to the Jets a few times. Will he even stick with the Steelers come contract time?

100% on this. The Steelers are the perfect team for the Jags to play and they still may not win.
