In the Broncos game yesterday Fouts even called out Von Miller for his "convenient" injury that allowed the Broncos to take a look.

Link: NFL morning after: League should crack down on fake injuries

I remember the Sanders stunt when he was with the Steelers.

I like the idea of having that player sit out for the rest of the series. Probably can't ask the officials to make judgement calls about what's legit and what's not so that's a good compromise...

Rest of series sounds good to me, if you need help off the field, you should be out of the game for more than 10 seconds of play

Don't forget this one:

Without this win over the Rams, Giants might not make the playoffs (not sure about their tiebreaker status). Huge, huge asterisk next to that trophy.

It was clear and blatant cheating!

And if a Pats player did it our team would be featured on every sports program and probably on the Today show, maybe mentioned by the White House press release.

I remember that game all too well. I went to Indy for it with a close friends who's a Colts fan ! I loved it but all the Colts fans were calling Willie out for his 'fake injury " and I just said they were sour over the loss !

I am glad someone remembers. That game was epic. Bethel's end of the 1st half zero time left kickoff return for a TD. That was no bust it up the sideline either, he was dodging guys all the way in and one tackle and it would have been all for naught.

I did not have seats as good as you, but I was watching the game on TV in a condo complex on Chestnut Street in Foxboro. After fivehead got one of his patented contact free face guarding DPI calls in the endzone, it was first and goal on the one. 1st play, one yard loss. Then complete power failure!!!

Where was a battery powered radio? In my car. About 20 guys ran outside and jumped in their cars to listen to WBZ. I think second and third down were incomplete passes and then McGinest nails the runner in the backfield! I remember the visuals from the highlights, but radio was how I heard it with 20 other guys screaming for joy inside their cars.

Really

It's an integral element in the Giants' defense.

I knew this would be in this thread. I was a little pissed when watching that. I know it happens often, but the completely, obvious, blatant cheating made me lose a lot of respect for the Gnats and Coughlin.... Hypocrisy in all of it's glory. The Jest were big on that a few years back.

Giants are notorious for faking, remember the Monday night game where two giants simultaneously dropped.

I learned about it on yourteamcheats.com. I actually don't care too much, it's just gamesmanship and actually pretty funny. I just wish that they had the same level of scrutiny as the patriots. Could you imagine if we did that? There would probably be a national state of emergency declared.

The NFL SHOULD do something...but they won't because well..lets face it...it's the NFL

What can they do? Often times people think someone goes down with a fake injury and it will turn out they have in fact been hurt

You guys remember 4th and 2 (1?) and Willie McGinest, right? My favorite goal line stand ever.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant move by our veteran savvy D end.. nice trip down memory lane...

"My leg got caught in the turf," McGinest said. "I would never fake an injury to come off the field and miss a couple of plays. Not during a game like that."

I love fake injuries. They can be the difference between home field and having to play the AFCCG in Indy.
