Don Rickles, Legendary Comic With a Gift for the Insult, Dies at 90

We've lost another great, and we may not see another of his style. RIP, you cantankerous old bastard.

I think Mr. Warmth had this tremendous ability to hit on whatever might make someone the most uncomfortable, knocking it out of the park on the first pitch so disarmingly that it would cause his target to relax, because they'd realize right away that he was kidding and in fact meant the attention with genuine affection. Don really liked people, and his shtick had him come across as VERY uncomfortable about admitting it.

I don't care what anyone says, those Dean Martin Roasts he was in were hysterical.

Great character in "Casino"

Newhart, Don Adams, Rickles, Bill Dana, Joey Bishop and...I dunno!

Greg Giraldo

J Geils yesterday.
I'm sure a lot of you in Boston in the 70's or 80's saw J. Geils. An institution. Great party band. Huge fun live. One Last Kiss was one of my favorites, along with House Party, Must've Got Lost, Give it to Me.
Hope he is blowing someone's face off in heaven.

Yeah and really good ones, because DR was one of the best shock comics that made fun of whites,blacks, Italians or races for fun, he never hated anyone, it was just funny. He made the silly you cant say that funny,lol. Top of my list for best comics of all time. I think everyone identified with him no matter what you were. Watch him and youll crack up.lol

Sorry to push it but DR is alot like my dad lol always putting us down with love, I get it. Just wanted to show he never gave up even when he couldnt walk, always sharp. Loved this guy my whole life because he was real. Guys like DR were the glue that connected us together threw his jokes on race. Big lost
